Downtown has a Schnucks, DGX, and a Fields Foods. There is no room for a CVS or Walgreens.

Any rumors developing about the potential grocery tenant at Mansion House?

Few pages back in this thread someone mentioned that the Dubliner space is going to be a relocation and now we know who is relocating: the Rooster is moving a few blocks over for more space.
Rooster was constantly packed for breakfast especially during the summer and on any weekend.
Rooster was constantly packed for breakfast especially during the summer and on any weekend.
I had heard that the other day, and it looked like the space is coming together inside nicely.
So after reading that a few businesses were relocating or opening on Wash Ave on our drive back from Chicago we were discussing which retail stores will benefit from the population growth and market DT has to offer and will offer in the next 3 years. We know right now high end will not work so we were thinking middle class (working class) retail that tourists, locals and visitors can afford. We used Michigan avenue as our mark (I know there is no real comparisons, different markets).
So here is some of the stores that can thrive in DT STL that are in prime DT Chicago but don’t break the bank and are thriving!
** TJ Maxx or Marshalls (Same ownership).
** Foot Locker.
** Target (Has to be at the Railway Exchange).
** Portillos (I’m not been fair but hey lol…)
** Latin Cuisine (Specially Latin-Caribbean).
** Way more Roof Tops.
** Authentic Mexican taco joint (We have two Tex-Mex’s but they’re not real Mexican food).
** Souther Food type Diner or Restaurant.
If you got more ideas pitch in…
If we don’t keep talking about it and tell others it will never happen!
Also keep smart and negative comments to yourself… Only positive vibes!

I'll add that it would be nice to get an Irish pub-style place on Washington, whether that's Flannery's coming back or a new establishment. While there are other bars, I think an Irish pub is a staple of any drinking scene, but with Flannery's and Tigen closed this area really doesn't have one anymore.

This what their website says! Sooo I have no idea! Washington Avenue does need an Irish Pub!

2) Let's be honest in that Flannery's has never felt that Irish.
3) But yeah. Losing Tigin, Dubliner and Flannery's is tough.

I’m positive it was open this summer but I’ve been traveling for work so much that I may be confusing to with summer 2020

It was open in summer 2020, now it looks like it's being used for storage, possibly for Rosalita's due to the amount of tortilla chips I saw inside.
It's awesome to see a few vacancies eaten up on the strip by Rooster, Havana's Cuisine, the Boom Boom Room, and Whiskey on Washington. Hopefully the ball keeps rolling when it comes to these openings and reopening.
Big possible reopenings to keep an eye out for:
Flannery's
Lucas Park Grill
Gringo
Not on Wash Ave but Big Daddy's on the Landing

The "It's not my fault/it's your fault/you're racist" tour continues.
I don't want Reign shut down: but they need a time out and they need to present a plan to address the issues.
