Wow, I didn’t know that they were in such dire straits. I certainly hope that they can finish Jefferson Arms at least.dbInSouthCity wrote: ↑2:21 AM - May 19They don’t have the money for it.Ragtimer wrote: ↑2:19 AM - May 19I’m sorry, I know I’ve asked this before, but I don’t remember what the response was. I’m almost certain that Alterra said they were planning to rehab that garage and use it for Jefferson Arms guests and residents. They were also planning to reactivate the first floor retail in that garage. Has that deal fallen through, or is this Alterra’s new plan? Am curious to know whatever else you can share right now.dbInSouthCity wrote: ↑10:14 PM - May 18I took a prospective buyer of locust and tucker garage to city hall last week for a meeting and it went well. He would demolish it and build a mixed use garage.
If you recall it was announced they bought the Syndicate but that’s back on market. Never closed.

There have been no break-ins at downtown's beleaguered Railway Exchange Building after the city changed security tactics, officials said last week.
St. Louis officials replaced the security firm patrolling the 1.2 million-square-foot property at Sixth and Olive streets just weeks after a Post-Dispatch report detailed the frequent break-ins and property destruction.
The new company, Citizen's Guard, started around May 1, according to a copy of its agreement with the Building Division obtained through an open records request. The $663,536 contract runs through April 2027.

Anyone know when demo of the parking garage is set to begin? I haven't been by there recently. Seems like this should have been done by now.

It was posted for bid, but SLDC still doesn't have 100% of the money
