I don’t have a sub so I can’t read but this would make sense for a fill in for Saint Louis FC leaving.

Maintaining USL and MLS Reserves at the same time is going to be messy. Sounds like a recipe for another reorganization effort in five to six years. My guess is that STL City continues to move ahead with the youth academy and slowly phases in an MLS reserve team.

It appears the growing trend is to have a dedicated facility for NWSL. When St. Louis lands a team, what do you prefer? If B, C, or D… where?

A. Energizer is fine and it’s better to increase the existing facilities usefulness. Keeps activity downtown.
B. NWSL specific but keep it downtown.
C. NWSL specific but put it elsewhere in the City.
D. NWSL specific but put it elsewhere.

Should note that the two teams who will/have built specific stadiums for NWSL have awful MLS stadium locations (Kansas and Denver).

They gotta play at Energizer and be folded into the same franchise as the Men’s team.

A. Stadium is new and it should be fine. If they want to get their own stadium down the line that is fine but lets make sure the product works for awhile first

I hate the guy as much as the next functioning human being, but that's not entirely accurate.  FIFA made 2 trophies & he got 1.  Not sure at all why, but he did.

A. Keep any new team in the same stadium. Support the bars nearby that already rely on soccer foot traffic and are optimized for it. Shouldn't be too difficult to find a way to alternate dates, IE Metlife with the Jets and the Giants. City2 might be on the losing end of the stick in terms of scheduling but they can still probably make it work.

How awesome would it be for the soccer season to have a pro-soccer game downtown almost every single weekend?

The Sport's Bra (a women's sports bar that has been expanding like crazy lately) has also announced an STL location. I really hope they locate it in DTW

Agreed. Even with the mens and women’s teams both at Energizer, your still only looking. At 30ish home games.

I think City2 could still make it work, but Hermann Stadium on SLU’s campus could be another option for them with a capacity of 6K. Would be really cool to continue to sell those City2 tickets for really cheap and sell out a smaller stadium.
