Some interesting single-family infill designs.

That woman riding a bike with a Mickey Mouse shirt sure does get around!

The National Register items are hot... of course the Central Electric Foundry (later Federal Mogul) complex has a lot of excitement but it's also great to see something brewing with 2647 Locust in the Beaumont/Jefferson area. That part of Midtown/Downtown has the potential to kill it; a streetcar would ensure it.

I know the agendas get posted every month, but is there a summary of the decisions made that gets posted somewhere too?

NextStl says they pulled the apartment building on Russell in Soulard from the agenda. What happened? NIMBYs got the pitchforks out?

^That's disappointing, just a year ago it was before the Preservation Board to be nominated to the National Historic Register: https://www.stlouis-mo.gov/government/d ... 7-2015.cfm

I've always loved that house. With the North Sarah development so close, it would really be a shame to lose it now.

Who the heck is Active Acquisitions LLC and why do they want to demolish what appears to be a quite substantial structure in an industrial neighborhood with plenty of vacant land? That's a nice looking building from G-maps, and the most recent view makes it look solid enough.

Bunch of rubber stampers.

Look, I don't live in Stl anymore, but I'll be visiting end of September. Drinks are on me to whoever goes to the meeting and calls them out on this sh*t.

They don't always present emails that are sent close to the meeting day. We need as many people as possible to show up and be vocal about this c&^p.

So re: item #2, the Crescent Planing Mill building. Apparently the building took some interior and some roof damage from a boiler explosion in June of this year. The building is insured and the insurance company has cut a check for $250,000 to cover repair of the damages, but the owner wants to knock the building down instead. It has been judged to be in good shape other than the damage from the boiler, and remains pretty much unaltered from when it was built 136 years ago.

This seems like an easy deny for the board.

If the pictures they provided are accurate, it looks as though the damage is contained in a small addition at the northwest; which is to say on the back corner of the building. You could tear that little one story addition down and never notice. Is this the area of damage?
