Based on a discussion with a bartender at Amsterdam this weekend, they will be moving into the ground floor of 2200 Locust.

The paper is down from the windows at Maggie O'Briens. Sunday night around 7pm they had all the lights on, TVs on and a number of people working/cleaning.

That's hot. The lot between Dam2 and Schafly better have some gameday festivities beyond....parking.

They've done a great job to make it feel like a taste of St. Louis every game day.  It will definitely add to the overall seamless experience that they're creating in Downtown West.

Looking forward to the first event at Citypark on Wednesday. I'll be there. Really hoping this is just a taste of what's to come once March rolls around.

Went to the team store and walked along the east side of the stadium on Sunday. The doors from the team store to the south concourse were open but roped off so you could at least look in.
-In regards to beer hawkers every single potable tanker had Michelob Ultra signage.
-The grab-n-go self serve stand seemed to have the same A-B mix of Bud, Bud Light, Select, Shock Top and Miller-Coors that Enterprise does. If they're going to do any local beers like 4Hands, Urban Chestnut etc it is not in there yet.

This is so much better than your normal stadium food options. We have a world-class stadium with world-class food options.

To the people angry about the practice field location I ask "how is this not a good look for us?"

Though I think they're taking a shot at our weather.

Surprising number of tickets still available.  Likely due to weather, but kind of surprising.  Though if I didn't follow CITY's social media I actually wouldnt be aware of the friendly (outside of this forum, naturally).

In most English grounds they do one or two items in mass quantities so that they can serve a ton of people fast during the 15 minute half-time.  If you are curious about the food offered in football stadiums in Europe check out the Twitter feed @footyscran

A new era begins as CityPark opens its doors for its first soccer game
https://www.stltoday.com/sports/soccer/ ... ome-sports
“Really impressed,” said Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso, who as a midfielder for Spain won the World Cup in 2010 and the European championship in 2008 and 2012. “I think that the size of the stadium, it's like a proper football stadium. That's what you want, where you feel that there can be good atmosphere that’s not too big but not too small, where it's a proper football atmosphere. … When you have that opportunity (to play in a stadium's first game), it’s a game that is remembered by everyone and for a long time.”

Leverkusen makes sense as an opponent for the first match at CityPark. City sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel, who worked for two Bundesliga teams before coming to St. Louis, could be starting the Bundesliga’s Western Division. Five Bundesliga veterans will likely be in the starting lineup when play begins next season. And Bayer has strong ties to St. Louis after the German pharmaceutical giant, whose workers started a soccer team in 1904 that was the genesis of the current club, bought St. Louis-based Monsanto. The team visited what is now the Bayer campus while on this trip.

The NYCFC is looking to escape Yankee Stadium and move to the Willets Point area behind the Mets' CitiField.

Just for reference this is the area that used to be home to hundreds of repair shops in something that looked right out of the third world.

Fair point.

The only thing they do mention is their target is 22,000-25,000 which is just around CityPark's size. So that seems to be the new sweet spot.
