Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt has been on NBC's "Meet The Press" twice in the last few months. He was on back in November and was on again this past Sunday.

The graphic says he is in "St. Louis" and the background is a nice image of downtown with the Arch. Regardless of Schmitt, it's cool to see St. Louis on national TV and that Schmitt's preferred office is apparently the one in St. Louis (if the graphic is to be believed).

Well, "if the graphic is to be believed" he'd be in a helicopter in Illinois, no?

There is a graphic above both of their heads, one says "NBC News" and the other says "St. Louis", suggesting he's in St. Louis taking the interview.

The graphic is not to be believed.  Its a graphic because the Arch is the icon of Missouri.  No one knows the KC skyline, and no one knows the name of our Capital.  He is probably in his study in Glendale.

And it's not cool, because that means the rest of the country associates our fair city with his belligerent viewpoint.  I wish he had the intersection of Manchester and Sappington, maybe with the Taco Bell in the background, was the graphic.  That would be more his vibe.

There should be a 50501 protest at the Capital on Wednesday at noon if anyone is interested.

Perhaps Warren County law enforcement should be brought under state control!

An uneducated population is easier to control. It is known. But only by the educated.

If they were actually smart they’d keep the dept of education and use the purse string. Without it, even in red states, majority of students are educated in districts that are run by moderate to left wing boards.

Our favorite dipshit state AG Bailey is also now suing Starbucks for having DEI policies and also joined a lawsuit against Costco for the same thing. What a moron.

Oh no, it'd be a shame if everyone reported AG Bailey for frivolous government spending on Missouri's own DOGE Portal. Totally don't do that.

Maybe those companies should only hire straight, white men to do their front-of-house tasks.  Less competition for higher up, managerial-type roles for the "DEI" types!

It's still so funny how they've still completely refused to express any comprehensive argument for exactly how this change will result in crime going down and officer retention going up.

Does the bill include funding to pay city officers more? Does it include any poverty reduction measures? Oh.....it includes provisions to make harshser penalties for lower level crimes and expands the definition of rioting.....I'm sure that's really gonna lead to good crime reduction!

It's also so funny that the Sheriff's department is clearly actually corrupt and incompetent and needs serious reform yet the state takes no action on that. Meanwhile, the most recent memories we have of state controlled police was the PD abusing the impound system and running drugs from the north riverfront.

Man if I were in charge I would just tell the state to pound sand - give them the 'ol Nathaniel Lyon response. Do they really even have any way to enforce a state takeover?

Also the push to eliminate income tax and replace it with sales taxes is chugging along. Combine that with the fact that KS has no grocery tax and IL is looking to exempt groceries from taxes and MO's two biggest metros are on the borders of those two states, it could get ugly for MO grocery stores. Can't wait for the state to collapse financially just like Kansas did.

It took me almost a month to get my Real ID recently all due to the slow mail. I got it processed on November 14th, and I finally received it on December 11th. It had been completed and mailed out the week of Thanksgiving, but it took two weeks to get to my address.
