I've just discovered that BBC America shows two other Gordon Ramsey programs. One is called Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. The setup of the show is that Chef Ramsey goes into stuggling restaurants in an effort to help turn them back into the black. I've seen three episodes and the problem in all three has been that the ego of the chefs blinds them to what customer's want - basic, simple, high quality food, using local ingredients and served well in unpretentious surroundings.

I watch Hell's Kitchen every week. I love watching him yell at everyone!

Any more insight into your personal life like that and I'm going to recommend therapy...or sailing...whichever one is cheaper in hindsight.

No surprise, I think. I never really heard any positive buzz about it. Although, that's probably true for a lot of restaurants.

Was this one of the Masterpiece BBQs where the food is cooked elsewhere then reheated?

IMHO a BBQ place won't survive unless the cooking is done on-site.

That's a shame.. They had decent BBQ, although I loved the Green Beans with bacon, much better than Pappy's! (That's the only I like better there than Pappy's tho)

Maybe not. But it was always pretty crowded at least. Meanwhile, ZuZu next door is still open. Go figure.

Not that I dislike ZuZu; it just always seemed empty. It appears today got a bump from the BBQ place closing, though.

This place wasn't anything special. I'm looking forward to trying the new bbq place in the Tudor Building on Washington.

Do you know something about this new place on Washington Avenue that the rest of us don't?

Nope :)

But when it closes, it will not have been anything special.

You know this already or know the owners or something? Looked open last night. Did you get an early taste?

It looks either open or getting ready to open. Can anyone confirm?
