Good stuff - looks like Guilded Age is moving right along and those who got in at the start will benefit from their patience.

BTW - on the Georgian website it looks like there are a lot of units left. They also still list the $10,000 Visa card offer from 2006. Any word on sales and/or promotions as they stand now? IMO - Gilded Age may not be in a rush to sell at the moment. Doing so would likely mean deep discounts/special promotions. They'll have a better product in another year or so.

Somebody put a huge sign on one of the undeveloped outbuildings depicting a rendering of finished produst. Problem is it is only visable to residents. Announces 'Park Palladium" as a Butler Pantry endeavour.

"Coming in 2008".

NY Times Real Estate section. The Georgian is mentioned all the way at the end.

Glad to here its 75% sold. Personally I wouldn't mind being somewhat isolated from things to live in a building like that, but then there's the whole thing about it being an old hospital. I know there's been this conversation before, but I don't know...

Has anyone ever addressed how dark the building looks at night? It really needs some exterior lighting.

^It does look very dark at night and judging by the lack of lighted up windows, I don't think its 75% occupied (versus 75% sold). Seriously, you can drive by the place at 8:30 on a Tuesday night and only see 5 or 6 units with lights on. Weren't there rumors about the developers/realtors buying a bunch of the units themselves?

I wonder how long the other two buildings to the NE will sit without anything being done to them.

IMO - Gilded Age seems happy to not push sales too hard by discounting or ramping up advertising. My friends in Lafayette Square are very excited about the grocery store, etc. that will be built. I think the Georgian will become much more attractive once these amenities are in place.

I don't know about the lights on in units. However, the parking lot seems to be full at night.

The weekend parking lot looks much fuller so the 75% figger doesn't sound too far off.

Regards lighting, just wait until the 24/7 Walgreens opens, that ought to provide plenty of light.

I will be very interested to see what becomes of the blank slate that was the old Malcolm Bliss Crazy House. Now there's a whole lotta land to be creative with.

Was leaving downtown yesterday and noticed that off 14th street the is construction equipment (dozers, backhoes) and a lot of turned over soil next to the abandoned building on the north end of the complex. Any news?

Something was mentioned in the Bohemian Hill/Georgian thread that work had begun on the streets and Butler's Pantry building behind the Georgian.

Do these condos have balconies? What about a pool and fitness center? They don't list them on the website but I saw them mentioned in this thread. Thanks.

Bumping this from way back. Whatever happened with the Phase II improvements? I know SoILL is in the power plant building, but based on their site that appears to be just a rock climbing wall with little else. Were the promised fitness center and pool ever delivered? If not, does anyone know if it's still in the works?

TIA,

Resturant is supposed to open in power plant building. No name yet, but you can follow on Facebook at ElementSTL.

Promises never delivered. Those promises were lies by realators and developer.

Thanks. My wife & I are looking into moving into some sort of multi-unit building if we can sell our home in Affton, but she really wants a property with a pool if we can find one. I've always loved this building...

My fiance and I are looking for a condo downtown/near downtown and were thinking about this spot. It's encouraging to see Field's Foods being built across the street.

Does anyone on this board live in the building?
