Nothing as mainstream as a Crate & Barrell. You can find Crate & Barrel like stuff anywhere...This place would be considered a bit more unique and don't forget there is a twist. Plus remember, most if not all the merchandise, will come from outside the U.S.

OK, new hint. First, remember one of the clues was tea at high noon (this is the twist). Now think across the pond.

I'm trying not to divulge the name as don't think it is my place and was hoping Christen Beck would step in and give it up. If someone can figure it out I'll give it up. Otherwise will give Christen a day or two and if she does not post then I guess I'll have to tell all.

Let's see, if one was interested in maybe sipping a hot beverage say at high noon, engage in conversation, browse around for a bit and maybe take something home with them (good chance it would be something from another country), then this might be a good place for a visit.
Starbucks w/coffee beans being form another country? If so......awesome.

Too big of a space for Starbuck's. Sorry.
I just wanted to add a quote level.

I'm betting on a Wal-Mart with a hot cocoa stand.

Sainsbury's!?

Larry Limey's cream tea and furniture mart?

The Millinium Dome West?

Honestly the English don't have much in the way of home furnishing stores.

This post is the closest yet, just not high end enough. If no one from Ely Walker posts anything tomorrow I'll let you all know what I have heard.

Marks & Spencer?

Pret a Manger?

Costa?

Caffè Nero?

A Pasty Shop?

I’m leaning towards some sort of traditional tea room or British food shoppe.

Hope they have Hob Nobs and real Cadbury Chocolate. Of course if it’s British there might be a good selection of Indian products.

I guess the "official" announcement is waiting until all the papers are signed. However it is exciting to see a retailer willing to commit to downtown who attracts an arguably different cliental than is currently being marketed to. Hope this gamble pays off for the store and leads to a whole new group of local citizens being exposed to our urban renaissance.
