Another old city Delmar beauty lost. Delmar has always shown our city’s downfall…

Do the maker district people own this? If so, they may at least try to do something productive.

Not saying they do. But if they do, I sincerely hope whatever it may be, it'll somehow include in the hypothetical plan a meaningful interplay with the Union Cycle Track.

An LLC with a Chicago address owns it. They also own 5215 and 5231. Ameren owns the corner lot.

I didn't vet the whole list, but why do Stoddard and N 14th have to come down? I looked them up in geo stl and streetview. The roofs have holes, but they don't look too far gone yet. Why isn't LRA selling some of these for a dollar, instead of paying contractors to raze them? So effing frustrating

We have to figure out how to stabilize Club Imperial.

We can’t just demo every historic building in the north side. That is not what is going to bring it back to prominence. I’m tired of seeing this

Spend some of the Rams money.
Allow a data center on the workhouse sire, TIF it, use the proceeds for north city building stabilization, infrastructure, tornado relief, etc.

1929 Hickory in Lafayette Square has suffered a massive collapse. It was being renovated by Tower Real Estate, but for some reason they completely gutted it and left the walls without any kind of internal support or adequate bracing. I'll try to grab a picture in my travels today, but this is an absolute failure by somebody. Especially in the neighborhood it's in, there is no excuse.

That’s a gorgeous corner building. That can’t be…

I live in Lafayette Square and my neighborhood sources tell me this rehab project is still a go. What can be saved will be (the facade is intact) and it will be rebuilt mostly as it was using salvaged bricks.

So they say until a gust of wind blows down the facade.

I see 1929 Hickory in Lafayette Square is currently being demolished. It's one those "it looks ok from the street" things but apparently it was too far gone.

Definitely a neighborhood I thought we were safe from this kind of stuff

Very very sad to see us lose a large corner building in Lafayette Sq

That building collapsed recently. The front at least seemed like it could be integrated into a new structure though.

Tower was renovating the structure and botched it. They took the roof and 2nd floor out without doing anything to support the facade and left it like this for months. Inevitably and storm came and caused a massive collapse of the rear structure.

I'm sure they building had problems before they started with it but it was in no danger of collapse until Tower Real Estate started messing with it. When I last went by the front was still standing so I HOPE that they are planning to keep it and rebuild the rear of the building. If it's torn to the ground we probably lose the granular mixed use asset and a single family home will eventually get built there
