You get used to a particular vernacular. I appreciate where you're coming from. Transparency is great. But you're not going to change an industry vernacular. Also . . . frequency means something different. Twenty minutes isn't a frequency. Three cars an hour is a frequency. Frequency requires both quantity and and time. Twenty minutes doesn't really tell you frequency . . . unless you say one car per twenty minutes. But it's a perfectly valid measurement of the headway (or space) between cars. Eh. You don't have to like it. But you probably do have to live with it. And in any case, there are probably more worthwhile things to argue about . . . but being a curmudgeon I fell for the bait. So there you have it.quincunx wrote:Why do they say headway? Just say frequency. More people know what that means.
The land along DeBaliviere between Forest Park Parkway and Lindell? I suspect the neighbors would die if someone tried to put apartments there. Plus, the land is part of Forest Park and things get controversial when park land is handed over to a private developer.jmedwick wrote:Man that park work is a waste. That site is begging for apartments to frame the entrance to Forest Park and build density for more retail near the station.
Another missed opportunity.
I agree, apartments are totally out of character for that stretch of land abutting Lindell.hiddeninput wrote:The land along DeBaliviere between Forest Park Parkway and Lindell?
