Im pretty left wing, don't read or listen to any of the sites you mention and I think Data centers in STL would be great. Some reasonable limits sure, but to ban them is a massive mistake IMO.

ok? i didn't say that anybody who supports them is buying the propaganda. i said that there is no wide-spread propaganda campaign driving the overwhelming opposition to data centers. that is a fabrication. what are the reasonable limits you propose? and how do you propose to enforce them once these multibillion dollar monoliths backed by oligarchs have been deployed all over the place and all of our infrastructure modified to support them? i can't read the NYT article (not that I trust much coming out of the NYT these days, either) but short-term bonuses in exchange for long-term environmental and community destruction sounds like exactly the kind of deception i would expect from these vultures.
