^ good question.... it comes to mind that most of the NFL owners who have shipped out were sort of flaky, emotional characters and not quite someone like Stan who may be putting a knife in a town's back in such a cold, business-like manner. We'll see how much of a sh*t he is -- whether he's simply jerking people around to get the best stadium deal here or if actually wants to move out.

We're 25 days away from the 60-day mark since the Governor officially announced the task force. That's Sunday, January 4, one week after the final Rams game of the season. So perhaps we'll hear something that following Monday.

Bernie had a twitter exchange with some people where he said Peacock is making a lot of progress and that the Rams WILL stay. month ago he was saying 70% that they will leave....the roller coaster continues.

^Saw that last night. As some people were commenting on the KTRISTL page, it seems like Bernie doesn't often go out on a limb. I like the confidence.

Balzer also wrote a measured piece on the situation which came out yesterday on Fox Sports. Nothing earth shattering.

^ something similar to those support structures could look really neat with the Stan Span in the background.

They must not get much snow in Warsaw.
Partially transparent, the retractable roof was made of fibreglass covered with teflon. This kind of material is resistant to weather factors (rain, the heat of the sun, and can hold up to 18 cm of wet snow) and the crease tendency.
That's only 7 inches. (insert joke here)

I'm sure Roger would volunteer to go shovel off anything over 7 if the stadium is built in the city. :D

Finally, a positive article regarding the Rams. In a nutshell, the Rams winning and new found optimism for the future among the fanbase, give STL more incentive to assist Stan in building a new stadium.

Winning a couple games against crappier teams increases optimism? I think the Rams end up 7-9.

Crappier teams?
They beat both Super Bowl teams from last year. As well as the second team in the NFC Championship Game.

This article is big.... First off, a move for any team in 2015 is looking less likely. Also, the article points out that Peacock has met with the NFL's point person on LA, Eric Grubman. I take this news as good news, but I REALLY do not want a lame-duck franchise here for 2015. If they are staying, of course I hope they are here in 2015. I just think they will get lackluster support if this moving threat is still out there. That will continue to make our fanbase look terrible, just like the AZ-Rams game did last Thursday. I heard from friends at the game, that a LARGE portion of the upper deck was empty. That will continue as long as the threat of moving looms and the Rams on the field do not produce, as has been the case for over a decade.

Nothing groundbreaking, but I think this process is heating up. We will know a lot more (I think) before MLB spring training.

Peacock meeting with the NFL's stadium guy is a big deal....i think this probably buys St.Louis 12 months and gives us the 2015 St.Louis Rams.

My son wants a Rams jersey for Christmas: I'm still not buying him one.

But the fact Peacock met with the league speaks volumes about where the St. Louis effort is. Plus it just solidifies how smart and connected he is.

I'm more thinking that week after the AFC/NFC championship games (January 18th). That's a quiet week and they shouldn't drop it the next week since that's build-up to the Super Bowl.

I was at the game Thursday and maybe I'm just used to the dome and the ambience over the last many years, but I don't see a lack of support when I'm there. Sure, the corners of the upper deck are far from filled, but along the sidelines until into the second half were pretty filled I thought. The reported attendance was 55,800 and I saw a low number of opposing fans compared to other games this year. I bought last minute tickets for one of those corners for a great price and then we stood in the Bud Light Party Zone the whole time. That area along the large windows that look over the north end zone were pretty much filled 2-3 people deep the whole game so I suspect a decent amount of people were ticketed to those "empty" areas. The crowd around me was jacked up, loud, we screamed, we griped at Schotty and Janoris, and high fived after defensive stops. What do people want? Rabid fans, foaming at the mouth, standing the whole time? Fights in the stands? It was loud at appropriate times and it died down when it was obvious (early second half) that the offense was in neutral and wasn't going to do anything.

The more I watch games around the country on TV I am more convinced that just as there is parity in the league, there is parity among NFL fans with a few exceptions. Our behavior is not that atypical (see Washington, NYG, NYJ, Tampa games). Our behavior is scrutinized more closely right now because of the way our owner has decided to play poker, however, I wish national types would call a spade a spade and admit that most markets with inconsistent products get inconsistent results with regards to fan/stadium/gameday experience.

Good news regarding Peacock's efforts. It was nice to read something that detailed from a credible outlet not tied to either STL or LA. Anyone see the giant Dave Peacock face sign behind the booth on NFL Network pre game show?

P.S. Depending on who your son wants for the jersey, TJ Maxx has some reasonably priced Rams jerseys, both current and throwback style.
