Really cool drone fly over of the trestle here:

Here's another short vid that shows how the trestle goes into and through a building. Freaking cool.

The model appears to have been made at a different point of design. Things have been modified some since that video, most notable the three new buildings to the north of the Foundry building. The rail trestle still continues into the site and goes north, but doesn't seem to go through a building anymore. It looks to run between the new Alamo building, and the second level of retail and the garage up to FPA.

See this render I found. Maybe someone knows of a better one showing this area. Maybe when Alamo was announced?

Crane pad is getting its re-bar prepped. Should be poured next week, with crane arriving sometime early June i'm assuming. Things are beginning to take shape. Once the crane is in I bet garage precast should start arriving.

Via SM Wilson Instagram, glazing is set to begin install next week as well.

The new roof is coming along. The rebuilt wall along 64 is too.

Between this and the armory. The view from I-64 is going to be greatly improved.

^It already is. All that activity is impossible to miss. It's nothing short of fantastic! I just hope both projects enjoy enough success to propel things along. :)

Glass on south side starting to go in. Forgot to grab a picture today, will get one Friday. It should be very noticeable on westbound 40/64.

That glass is already making an impression from 64. Can't wait to see it lit up at night.

Keep your eyes on the road, so you don't make an impression on the glass...  :)

Here's another I forgot to add on my other post. This wall had to be torn down and rebuilt (similar to the one by highway 40). Since the bricks that were used back when the building was originally constructed aren't made anymore (standard brick dimensions changed), as much original brick was salvaged as possible for reconstruction of masonry walls around the complex. Walls were dismantled and grout scraped off for reuse. This meant that the many brick walls that were covered in graffiti still had the paint left on them. They ended up with a "collage" of sorts. I personally love it, and hope that it can resist the weather.

That's actually really cool to see. Glad they went the route of saving original materials, too - I wish more redevelopments 'embraced' the vandalism as part of a building's history in clever ways like that.

I’m glad to see some progress on this, but is it just me, or has the construction been going a little slow on this project? I drive by this most days and i often see more construction workers across Forest Park Parkway working on the Element hotel.

There's been a ton of tuck-pointing, brick-laying, and window hanging going on the past few months from what I've seen?

^ & ^^ To add to pattimagee comment, from the pictures alone it looks like a lot of that brick-laying, tuck pointing and glazing work is tedious skill intensive type work if done right that the contractor would probably love to find more people who could do it.  I would assume a lot of the remaining work will go a lot quicker as it will be in line with new construction typical of what you see across the street.

On a different note, Foundry developer must be just excited as the rest of us for what is between talked about Cortex K and now Duncan 4210.   Every office and lab structure that can't go up in the immediate area means jobs, employees looking for lunch and or happy hour, after hours entertainment, etc. for the Foundry tenants.

Some fly-through videos. One includes a conceptual Apple Store. Can't confirm if it is happening or not but I don't think so.

The Apple store was conceptual only. It is not happening.

Yeah I can't imagine Apple would leave their West County and/or Galleria stores.  But man, imagine seeing that from 40...

Like the look of the office building as well.

I figured as much. Neat concept to have a store over the old rail line into the Foundry. Maybe they could incorporate something like that into a future Phase.

This project averages at about 100+ on site each day. Its truly a massive site. Progress has actually been flying as of late. Most of the structural repairs (both steel and masonry) are almost complete.

Element is also on FPA grade and abuts it, and has a fence you can see through. Foundry is depressed some 35 feet, and is a good 400' away from FPA and has massive concrete barriers.

You've got to think that major residential plans are in the fold for this area now.

This is so exciting.

Great news. This will be convenient for SLU students/employees and residents. I can see coming to the Foundry often now, not just a once in awhile entertainment visit. Don't know anything about Fresh Thyme prices, but will likely add this to the grocery rotation.
