If that is in deed the case, this is quite possibly the best development yet for Midtown. Screw all the teasers, just give us the good news!

Walking from the Foundry to the Armory kinda reminds me of walking from downtown to the Arch.

It's too soon for April fools so I hope this isn't some sadistic joke. Highway 40 did no favors for the Armory building and if they can somehow incorporate it into the project, this would be huge.

A wide, glass-covered skybridge from the second floor of the armory, tucked right under the bridge—same level as the concrete spans— would be pretty cool.

Ok, this sounds weird, but check this out:
https://www.google.com/maps/@38.6321286 ... 513,18.22z

I can see a dotted line connecting Spring Avenue south of I-64 to the branch of Prospect Street north of I-64. What is this? A hidden tunnel that Google knows about?
*edit*
Apparently if you go back to about 2010, there was a footbridge connecting these two where the Google Map shows the dashed lines. Not a tunnel, definitely not there anymore, but proof that you can build one over the lower deck of I-64. A footbridge was there at least since 1971 (viewed on historic aerials).

There used to be a pedestrian bridge until not that long ago across the highway there. Could be leftover from that, I remember it being there at least as recently as 2010.

What's crazy is that Spring Street used to pass between those two levels of 40 on an overpass.

Here are a few photos related to the Spring Avenue Viaduct and pedestrian overpass from around 2008 to 2016 (this is an area I really love).

2008:

2013:

2016:

The sign in that last one says: "Pedestrian Overpass Over Highway 40 Closed Use Grand Blvd". Which is good, because you had to walk around an entire city block to get to the overpass from Spring and Clark.

^ let's kick-start that!

(btw, one of the most interesting things that I found out when I went down that deep hole of learning about the Disney plans for downtown was Walt's idea of a monorail to the Arch grounds... let's go back in town and get 'er done!.)

I think they should extend Spring as a "Park Between the Highways" to the Armory.

The foundry part will be an indoor market. The apartments will be built around that.
