In context. Not sure if they met the November 1st deadline for the first move-ins, but I doubt it from the looks of things.

This looks pretty good right? I like it for new construction.

Are there plans to add landscaping or something to hide that blank brick wall?

Here is the landscaping, did you miss it?

Just give it a few years. I'm sure it will get plenty of fertilizer.  🙂

I toured this building yesterday. I don't have the time right now to share all my photos here, so here's a few and a link to my write up (which includes two videos).: https://www.cityscene-stl.com/post/a-lo ... he-chelsea. I was impressed by the building.

Wow! I was not expecting those high quality appliances, especially in the clubhouse! Very nice!

yeah, it might be time to severely limit tax breaks for this type of extravagance.

The gym, sauna, pool, terrace, lounge, snack shop, bar, game room, cafe, simulated driving range, and tiki bar ceiling panels - taken altogether it's almost like a tour of a cruise ship.

Had the same cruise ship thought when the video golf bit came up.

I wish One Hundred had this type of quality. Maybe they’d be seeing better leasing numbers. They’re still struggling while Chelsea is almost at capacity even though they aren’t 100% finished with construction. One Hundred just looks cheap on the inside and the hallways looked like my college dorm.

Apologies for me posting my story link on this thread earlier. I had to be somewhere, so didn't have the time to post all the images. Now I have the time, so here we go. There are 45 images here. Real quick note, it's expected that the building will be 100% leased by the end of this month. And when comparing to 100 Above the Park, there's no comparison.

Lobby/Cafe Space...

Chelsea Market and Mailroom...

Private WeWork space (I would've had more pictures, but there will people there), the golf simulator room, the yet to be finished dog spa, and dog park...

Fitness Center, the large garage doors that open up, and spa/sauna area...

The Barcade...

Pool deck. Should be finished in the next few weeks...

I like the room numbers...

And finally, the units I was shown...

View from the last unit...

Here are the links to the videos showing the garage doors opening and the bed coming down...

the building looks nice on the outside, but IMO the interior spaces are too busy/pretty ugly. and i don't really get this amenity craziness. what's the point of living in a city if you never have to leave your building? the additional residents are welcome but it makes me feel gross that the city is subsidizing this kind of lavishness while vast swaths of the north and south sides continue to fall apart/live in poverty. and those neighborhoods that are seeing investment are quickly becoming unaffordable to all but the affluent. a building like this should not be getting tax breaks.

It's all about targeting the product. They are not trying to sell units to families who will be long standing residents of St Louis. They are prob trying to rent to medical residents who come to STL for 3 or 4 years to work 16 hours a day, six days a week.

Thanks for the shout out! One of my favorites as of late. Kyle probably had me over 90 minutes on the tour because there was so much to see.

I agree with some here who believe this project and other luxury apartment buildings should not ideally be receiving huge tax breaks, especially when occupancy before construction doesn't even seem to be a concern.

Hopefully we'll see some changes on that soon. I have at least noticed this last year that some abatements downtown were smaller than usual. I'm also not so against tax abatement when we consider that vacancy already gives us nothing, but the sense of inequality is sure valid.

That "robotic" bed is fantastic, but I feel like it could have been at least a foot higher given the clearance over it. I am sure the hardware is somewhat limiting.
