Then why would you say they aren't included in the new design? Duh.

To save money, presumably. The plans were altered when the coaches' offices and practice facilities were added and the seating capacity was reduced to 10,500 from around 15k.

Attended the MBCA Clinic where Majerus was speaking on Thursday night. He's going to really do a lot of great things at SLU.

I remember Bernie M. of the Post-Dispatch/1380 was talking about one day he spent with Majerus just driving him around St. Louis and kinda playing realtor showing him all the nighborhoods. He mentioned Majerus had him drive around the Delmar Loop and the Skinker/Pershing area where Bernie supposedly lives. He said they spent a lot more time talking about the city and it's history instead of basketball.

Apparently Majerus also really liked Lafayette Square.

^I doubt that even the "real" Shimmy makes anywhere near what Majerus does.

Incidentally, Shimmy Gray-Miller also had a session at the MBCA last week. She was terrific, entertaining and had a lot of great drills.

That's good to hear. She's such a great speaker - she has so much enthusiasm, and she's a really cool lady. It's easy to see why she's such a good coach and recruiter.

The product is improving. But she's basically turned chicken sh*t into chicken gizzards. Still need to get to chicken salad...

The women's basketball coach is named Shimmy? Huh. Learn something new everyday.

Are they going to leave up the corrugated metal on the Arena? I am not sure how to describe where it is, a picture would be helpful, but there is something that basically looks like corrugated aluminum all around the base of the dome. I think it looks really cheap.

Not sure about the materials, but I've toured many times before and during construction. It's fairly impressive to me and seems pretty solid.

Hmmm... do you mean that stuff just under the "lid?" I'm not positive, but I'm under the impression that it's a base, sort of like the Research Center had that weird looking base coat of material for a long time. Not sure, though.

^Yes. Not much worse than many others though. For a good look at Boston's white trash culture, I would suggest the movie Gone Baby Gone. Heh, and that movie was produced by a native...

I actually think those "Blue Collar Comedy" guys are pretty damn funny.

I don't care for Larry. I'm not so into most of the Junior High humor.

The other guys are pretty funny, though.

I live in Southeast Missouri, so I know a lot of rednecks, although I don't really consider myself to be one. This area is kind of the midwestern/southern border, so I talk to all kinds of people, and a lot of what those redneck guys say is true.

I'm sorry, but like Moorlander, I don't care too much for Larry, but the others are pretty hilarious.

I saw Larry and a couple of the other guys at the Fox a couple of years ago. I laughed my ass off. Couldn't help it, really; they're funny.
