Nope. She might have more $ left from her house camps. But Tom will outwork her.Ebsy wrote:I'm assuming Kratky will win in a walk in Ward 16.

The Hubbards should be barred from any city office after the BS they've pulled. How the heck can they continue to enter elections after all of the allegations of fraud?!MattnSTL wrote:Hubbard is in. Megan Betts will file today also, but her intentions were already known. Six candidates in Ward 5.

Pattan and Ray would be a good tandem for downtown.
Betts is in favor of the NLEC staying open. That'll hurt her.

That's great, but the 5th Ward is mostly not Downtown. I'm not convinced Bob Ray knows that. I know he shows up other places, but it still feels superficial.downtown2007 wrote:Pattan and Ray would be a good tandem for downtown.
Agreed, but it's only allegations to this point. We'll see where the federal investigation goes. While we wait, the voters can send another message that their game is up.chaifetz10 wrote:The Hubbards should be barred from any city office after the BS they've pulled. Mayor Slay MEC reports show donations on 11/30/2016 to Tamika Hubbard(5), Jack coater(7) Ken Ortmann(9) Marlene Davis (19) and Tom Oldenburg (16)
Also the mayor has opened a 2020 statewide office MEC file

^So he can charge his London trip as campaign expenses? Am i reading that right?
- 9,566
You're reading it right...but idk if he can or cannot. from what i am told the MEC doesnt actual check these reports until someone files a complaint....so alderman reports are riddled with errors and bs.
Well, if I ever run for office, I swear that the expenses to Bora Bora were strictly for campaign business....nothing else
Tom Villa has dropped his re-election bid.

Anyone know much about the others running in that primary? Dee Brown, Eddie Tucker & Sara Wood Martin.

If I lived in the 11th Ward, I would just change my last name to Villa and run.

Sarah Martin is the wife of the current state senator Jake Hummel

Thats what, 3 elections in 4 years Megan Green has now won?
66% against Jennifer Florida. Will TGS be declared to be in active rebellion by the powers that be at City Hall?

Shame that Megan Green survived to plague the City of St. Louis for years to come.
In other news, Tyus barely survived in Ward 1, Bosley got a surprisingly low 29% of a divided field in Ward 3, Hubbard prevailed over a divided field in Ward 5 (by more than her absentee margin), Martin won in a walk with Villa's support in Ward 11. Prop P looks set to pass easily.

Awesome how Megan Green not only won, but gutted and filleted the haters!
Ortmann loses badly in Ward 9 (he was super pro police), Oldenburg pulls off an upset in Ward 16, Muhammad very narrowly prevails in Ward 21, and it looks like the Boyd family beats the Carters in Ward 27.

Kinda crazy that you only need 400-600 votes to get elected as an alderman in some wards. Seems like we need to align municipal elections with the November dates for statewide and national office.
