You do realize the current County Executive is under investigation and so unpopular he's not even running for re-election and the only reason he's the County Executive is because the previous County Executive is in prison.

And this is not even to mention the numerous mayors in the county who have been to prison.

You're some good comedy relief though.

County residents don't realize these things. It's a feature of fragmentation. You don't have to take any ownership of stuff that happens in the other fragments.

Megan Green kicks off reelection campaign in St. Louis

Should be an interesting race. I'm sure a more moderate dem candidate will enter the race also. Not that they're more moderate but I could also see Oldenburg, Sonnier, and Clark Hubbard stepping up to the race.

I don’t see Oldenburg doing it. He’s got 4 kids that aren’t in high school yet and it’s a huge pay cut from his US Bank job

Sonnier won’t cross Green. Browning will run

Browning will sell the city to BJC.

Preparing for the most consequential bill in modern history for North St. Louis and Shameem Clark Hubbard and Sharon Tyus are joining session from home. Among multiple others also joining remotely. I feel like the whole job of Alderman leads up to at least being present for this.

This is how tons of "business" in the city is done anymore, seemingly at all levels too. Meetings between the Mayor, BOAP, Comptroller, Treasurer, and whoever else are on zoom for some reason instead of a conference room. They'd probably tell you it's for transparency.

They all just got their salary doubled. You would think they could show up for BOA meetings.

I’d love for them to have to give the reason they aren’t there in person every time they sign in virtually. If there is a legit reason like they are sick or something then fine, but I just didn’t feel like driving in isn’t a good reason when it is your job.

Once again, Sharon Tyus is happy to be a distraction from her own home. Her terrible attitude and unwillingness to show up is a great example of why the remaining alders largely ignore her. She really is the last remaining old guard of the pre-reduction. Bad for St. Louis.
