Rumors I have seen are LA, NYC and Tampa are out. Orlando, San Antonio, Vegas are in. Which makes sense. LA was dumb to begin with. They barely care about NFL, let alone XFL.
Yep, Dumb to be in LA and NYC as well in the first place when you literally have two competing NFL teams in each of the market between Rams/Chargers & Giants/Jets.     Tampa like St Louis probably good for NFL or XFL but not both.    Vegas of course just has a great location for away game road trip.    In same breadth, Orlando and San Antonio seem like great markets.  You could probably through in a Austin team as well

I thought it was pretty impressive that they booked media from 2023-2027 too - feels like good momentum.

I also saw the rock said they will be in 8 cities. So it won’t be like USFL with everyone in one spot

I’m not too familiar with the convention center business practices but it seems unlikely that anyone would hold dates without a nearly firm commitment.

Reminds me that the Carson Stadium project - the Inglewood alternative that would've been home to the Chargers & Raiders - was quarterbacked by Bob Iger, who was at the time CEO of The Walt Disney Corporation. Even though the Committee for Los Angeles Opportunities (i.e. which stadium was better, Carson or Inglewood) found in favor of the Carson project, the League's owners voted for Inglewood, which of course saw the Rams taken back to southern California. This was the first time an NFL Committee's decision was voted down by the League's franchise owners. Iger was justifiably upset that all his team's efforts, deemed the winner, were nevertheless rejected.
Now, the House of the Mouse is going big with the XFL instead of the NFL... Coincidence? Maybe not 200%, but it sure looks like it.

Again, and always: Fark Stan Kroenke!

^Oh, both fantastic announcements! Glad to see Dizzy-knee on board with the XFL. That's great news. A little mouse-muscle will go a long way in marketing the XFL. It will definitely be interesting to see where this goes.

If the Battle Hawks are back in St. Louis, then who is getting the Arch logo? Sorry but I have a feeling that the Battle Hawks are being relocated and we will likely end up with the Gateway Guardians

Could be just an updated Battle Hawks logo, but they still need to protect the old logo?

Edit: Bottom right in the first post and top left in second post seem like they could also be the same team but with an updated logo

The newer logo seems to have a strong aviation feel to it, which really doesn't make me think they've automatically changed the team name.

My guess is that it was a conceptual logo for a St. Louis team but then they chose to go with the sword logo which is way better anyway.  All content they created is likely being transferred so that should include any and all proprietary materials they developed/trademarked for the league.

The arch logo is not a new logo. XFL 2020 had two logos for the Battlehawks and the arch logo was used inside the dome during game day. The sword logo is the main logo used outside of the dome. It may be slightly updated. https://staging13.xflnewsroom.com/xfl/s ... dary-logo/

^^ Yeah I was gonna say that every team had a primary and secondary logo. I think that arch logo is just an updated version of the original one midcoaststl posted.

^ Thanks.  We're cutting it kind of close here, no?  I'm sure everything is sailing along behind the scenes, but where are the official announcements?  Maybe waiting for the NHL/NBA playoffs to be over and then really ramping it up.

You’re right in that announcing the XFL 2.0 right now would bury it.

Just wait until after the Stanley Cup is over and then announce in late June.

Some news in here. Team/city announcements by the end of the month. St. Louis "expected" to be one of them.
Belief is that the teams will have a central practice location, likely in Dallas, and travel to venues for games.

Why reward Jerry Jone’s Dallas with a central practice location instead of the likely most fanatical and most central XFL city - St Louis?

I don't get this. Seems like it's damaging to the team trying to connect to the community during the week, weather it's appearing at events or local sports/news etc.
