I’m kind of hoping 2CW will be slightly taller but I would patiently wait for something taller elsewhere in downtown instead.

Looks like they finally repaved Clark Avenue, which badly needed it.sc4mayor wrote: ↑Jun 18, 2020Nice looking shot of the outdoor plaza at BPV from @zachdalin on Instagram:
Well, it's not quite on the scale I was hoping for, but it does look like Phase II of BPV does include at least one wraparound LED, on the fascia of the balcony at Onelife Fitness...pdm_ad wrote: ↑May 21, 2020Now this is an LED screen I could live with:

I feel that BPV will be our version of Times Square (albeit much smaller) when it's finished. We definitely haven't seen the end of gaudy billboards in the district.DTGstl314 wrote: ↑Jun 19, 2020Well, it's not quite on the scale I was hoping for, but it does look like Phase II of BPV does include at least one wraparound LED, on the fascia of the balcony at Onelife Fitness...pdm_ad wrote: ↑May 21, 2020Now this is an LED screen I could live with:

Wow, that is troubling. So much we've given up for visitors. What an eye sore.EssTeeEll wrote: ↑Jun 19, 2020^ Interesting thought about acquiring 300 S Broadway and the parking lot, but I think they'd also have to acquire the GSK/Tums building. And if they (for whatever reason) re-purchased the east garage, they'd have a whole thing going. But again, I'll just take Phase 3 at this point.
Also...yes, the bigger issue is the ocean of parking to the south. It's even more jarring from above.
Believe the large swath of parking to the south is already owned by public entity and slated to be Chouteau Pond as part of the greater Chouteau Greenway plan. Someone please correct me but believe that is the case.EssTeeEll wrote: ↑Jun 19, 2020^ Interesting thought about acquiring 300 S Broadway and the parking lot, but I think they'd also have to acquire the GSK/Tums building. Out of total ignorance, how does a parking lot get tax exemptions? Is it a not-for-profit entity?quincunx wrote: ↑Jun 19, 2020The lot north of Cerre is. 8 acres of tax exempt parking!
The one close to Tucker is owned by TRRA and is tax exempt too!
That's exactly how...MarkGroth2020 wrote: ↑Jun 20, 2020Out of total ignorance, how does a parking lot get tax exemptions?
I rode by today and didn’t think the TV on the stage was too small. It seems to be a pretty good size for the space. I was about as far away from it as you could be and it felt like I’d be able to watch a game on it, for example.EssTeeEll wrote:The only thing I can think of is...space for more ads. Maybe they spent too much on their irregularly shaped TV atop the apartments to afford a bigger one down here.urbanitas wrote: ↑Jun 18, 2020^The new display over the stage still looks undersized...I don't get it.
Embarrassing.
I walked by the space, as well, last Saturday while touring BPV and Arch grounds. I wasn't underwhelmed by the size of the video board, either. It looked like an appropriate size for the space, imo. Would a larger screen look even better? Sure, but I think it's fine the way it is. And, it will probably be replaced at some point anyway from wear and tear.SeattleNative wrote: ↑Jun 21, 2020I rode by today and didn’t think the TV on the stage was too small.
