This certainly will lend more visibility to WWT & be a boon for Westport. While this was a huge missed opportunity for the larger region by not going to the City, maybe downtown will get a few crumbs with more investment in Union Station as a result of LHM's windfall.

I wasn't sure where to post this question:
What's the big apartment looking building (about 4 stories) going up next to the O'Fallon Brewery near Westport? It's pretty big and pretty visible from 270.

I disagree and envoke the "better together" clause.roger wyoming II wrote:This certainly will lend more visibility to WWT & be a boon for Westport. Sure, we all would have liked to see this in Cortex, but I for one am thrilled that a local start-up has been growing so fast:

^^ my thought is that they outgrow this space too. Hopefully, the next contenders will be Downtown or cortex.

Illustrates the value of T-REX IMO. WWT original offices were half a mile away. Most people grow a business and don't do a deep dive on where to open it, etc.
If we get them hooked downtown right away, theyll probably just look around to what they are used to for a new office when they grow.

Couldn't find a Westport specific thread but... did a drive through of the area this evening just for fun. The WWT building still looks sharp, and WWT has a pretty good (although disjointed campus) between the HQ building and their Technology Center building and former HQ on Fee Fee road.
The rest of Westport Plaza is pretty bad though. I know LHM did some upgrades, but it just looks and feels like an outdated office park. Here's to hoping WWT will continue to see growth in the coming years and we might get some more upgrades over there. Even repaving the roads and adding in simple landscaping / more trees would make this area feel more like a technology corridor.

They don't want to be in a tech corridor. If they did, they would've located in Cortex.
Great example of irony.chaifetz10 wrote: ↑May 08, 2020... did a drive through of the (Westport) area this evening just for fun.

Hey - I ran out of neighborhoods in the city to walk for updates. Figured I might as well start expanding the radius of my daily "get out of the house trips" to avoid going stir crazy!

^I worry that leaving the house will make me crazy, as it gets me too close to all the stuff I am missing, while I hold onto what's left of my sanity for dear life.
But I still like seeing updates from folks sane enough to venture out.

Forbes Magazine has named David Steward the wealthiest black man in the US with a net worth of $11.4 billion.
