Very unfortunate for the businesses.  Our national government needs to learn to play nice with others, and that actions have consequences.  I guess I should not assume how much this comes into play,

Appears Bosnia is flying commercially on Lufthansa to get here. Just took off Bosnia to Frankfurt.

Sounds like a sellout!

I'll be rooting for USMNT first & Bosnia as my second team. Italy would be my 2nd team, but Bosnia knocked them out. Still rooting for Bosnia as well!

Yep.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina national soccer team officially arrived in St. Louis, Missouri. The squad flew into St. Louis Lambert International Airport via a Lufthansa flight (Flight LH448 connecting from Frankfurt) to prepare for their upcoming FIFA World Cup-related matches. The team is in town for a six-day training camp and an international friendly match against Panama, scheduled for Saturday, June 6. The training will take place at the Washington University Performance Center, with the match being hosted at Energizer Park. Because St. Louis is home to the largest Bosnian population outside of Europe, their arrival has sparked significant excitement in the local community.

I’m enjoying seeing the tweets from foreigners exploring the US and sharing their experiences. Only the British are the salty ones this time.

Downtown KC businesses allowed their employees to work from home in anticipation of large amounts of crowds and traffic. But it just feels like standard business here, no big surge of people. It’s a very local-heavy party and crowd. Few to no visitors from out of town from what I can see. Big hotels aren’t very lit up at night, which I expect is because of the prices they wanted to charge. It’s so far going the way I thought it would though - local issues magnified to a more global audience and a party for the locals and their friends. Being in the middle of the country with no increases in flights and no international connections makes it difficult for most foreigners to get to.

And to be honest, the area’s in worse shape than the preparations made for the NFL Draft. Highways aren’t as clean, the cracked out homeless people are more numerous this event and the number of homeless is higher. There’s still a month to go with events and all that so we’ll see if more show up, but it’s a big party for the locals.

Kansas City also hasn’t hosted a game yet. So some of it might be no one has come to town yet since it’s still a few days away.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/england-wo ... nsas-city/

England's gear was returned to them. I'm still confused on if the equipment was stolen in KC or somewhere along its route from Florida to KC. The article says, the transportation vehicle "arrived without the equipment." Shame this happened, but glad they were able to get their stuff back before practice began, and the England players aren't bothered by what happened.

Here I thought things couldn't get messier and now a body was found outside the stadium Iran is using to practice.

People wondered why the hell the Spanish national team picked Chattanooga to train instead of a big city. But it seems to be going well.

Is anyone going to the games? I’ve got a ticket for KC and am looking forward to trying their new streetcar line. Seems like their fan fest has been popular so I’ll report back.

Weird.
I wouldn't call Chattanooga a small town.
Also the legacy media consider the small town diner patron the most important voters in the country.
