I like how we've just forgotten that the most progressive candidate of this century, 2008 Barack Obama, lost Missouri by 0.1%.

But yea I'm sure more centrism and believe in nothing candidates will eventually win Missouri back.

Lol Louisiana of all places was run by a left-wing version of Trump back in the 30s. Progressivism mixed with populism can be a lot more successful than people give it credit for and should never be brushed away with "oh well it'll never work there so why even try?".

But have we tried pro-life, Cheney endorsed, pro tax cut Blue Dogs yet?? We should do that first or at least give them a 5th or 6th try before we dare shift to the left.

Maybe Dems should run on working class policies, something they haven’t done here for many years.

Gotta pay for the income tax elimination somehow. It's hard to get wound up about this when they spend so little as is. A whole $1 per Missourian. Meanwhile it's about $300 per Missourian for driving.

SB933
SB 933 - The act provides that there shall be a moratorium on the construction of new and current solar projects in the state beginning the effective date of the act.

The Department of Natural Resources shall promulgate rules concerning environmental issues with respect to the construction, placement, and operation of a solar project.

The moratorium shall end on December 31, 2027. However, if the Department does not promulgate the rules before such date, the moratorium shall continue until such rules have been promulgated.

This act has an emergency clause.

This is ridiculous.  People who don't want a unified region want more say for the region.  Wentzville is 40 minutes from downtown, which like it or not IS the center of the Bi State region.

The Missouri Senate is one of only two state legislative bodies in the United States that does not offer a live video stream of its proceedings.

Given how demoralized conservative voters are atm, energized liberal voters are atm, and the fact that Missouri voters are  center/center left (despite how they vote in national and statewide races), I have a hard time seeing this passing.

There will be significant campaigns against this. 40% of the electorate is an automatic “no” vote. So opposition only needs to get like 1/5 of conservatives to see this is bad for them.
