^^Those two NBC aerials of Downtown are quite flattering! Unfortunately, the news about monkeys on the loose is not 😂

Dad describes the moment he realized he couldn't raise his daughter in the United States

Idk, Missouri's gun laws are scary and anti-family.  I sympathize.
Melissa & Chris Bruntlett moved to the Netherlands from Vancouver (certainly safer in terms of gun and traffic violence), to get away from the threat of cars to them and their kids.

No one should want to raise a child in America lol. We are being run by death cultists.

What data cited in the article was wrong? I’d like to know.

Was thinking about how many times St. Louis will get mentioned in Milan on NBC broadcasts with the iceskating. Good stuff. "Back in St. Louis...."

Kinda related. I attended the U.S. Figure Skating Championships for every event at Enterprise. This was my sixth time attending nationals, and this was by far the best and most well-attended I've been to. I parked at my office at Tucker and MLK and walked down. I will say that the city seemed very clean. I'm not sure if the administration decided to do some cleanup for this very visible event, but I was very impressed as I took multiple routes on my walk. However, it was dead, and others picked up on it, too. I follow a skating podcast, and they mentioned the same thing, talking about how there was no one around and that they had to walk quite a bit from the arena to grab a meal between events. I left a comment on the channel saying that this might have been because the weather was weird that weekend, plus the arena is surrounded by government buildings, parkland, and an interstate. But I doubt my comments made a dent in their perception of their experience of the city.

Came across a viral video of some comedian talking about how empty and lonely St. Louis was and how terrible it was saying the city makes her “feel like she was the only girl in the world” but that feeling was bad

We just need so much more liveliness downtown. So tired of seeing this as the big complaint amongst people reviewing it on social media

1) I actually noticed there was no effort to make the area more attractive, juxtaposed to the Frozen Four last year.

2) This is a great example for why a Washington Ave arena location would be better than the Post Office.

Jane Jacobs panned the area way back in the 1960s

We went to the art museum the other day to see this.  Glad we did, very nice (free) exhibit.  Also, the STL Art Museum is very beautiful!

Yeah, it was a very impressive show. Much, much larger than I had anticipated (several rooms in addition to the main hall). I'm surprised it didn't stay up longer.

Interesting new show on Max set in St. Louis - cast has some big names like Jason Bateman, David Harbour (of Stranger Things fame) and Linda Cardellini!
