Krueger's is great. We spent many Tuesdays there in law school. I do wish they would get a better beer selection and ban smoking on the sidewalk, but it is a great bar that Clayton hasn't seemed to affect.
I have been by this place a ton of times and never been in it. I need to check it out. Prices are much cheaper than most clayton places.

I should have said "the encroaching development from Clayton..."  And UCity isn't much better, based on the number of places priced out of the Loop

I miss Lester’s. Nice place, Fantastic food, and a solid beer selection.
Lester's wasn't too bad. I think I watched the last game/Cardinals lose the 2013 World Series there.

Looks like great branding and will make a neat storefront. With the chess concept getting off the ground finally, this could be a show off corner for our city - old, classy, artsy STL in the heart of the CWE.

Seeing that intersection return to having outdoor seating on ALL FOUR CORNERS will be huge. I thought I might not see it again once Coffee Cartel got turned into a makeup store.

It's a shame they gutted the old Culpeppers. It really was a lovely and cozy old bar in there.

I still swear those Blue Mercury stores are money laundering operations on the order of mattress stores and car washes.

I usually never curse but F00K YES! Coming back in town and seeing Kaldi's empty for so long has been so depressing. Way too memories down there and takes so much energy out of CWE! The fact this is coming from Brennans only makes it so much sweeter. Excited to see this concept. A more traditional sports bar / college type bar should make a killing down there.
