The Board of Adjustment will consider zoning variances for a homeless shelter at 110 Sidney St. Cruel to have people living so far from anything in a polluted industrial area, but it might be far enough away from NIMBYs.

10 min walk to Jack Nolen's is pretty great in a lot of people's eyes. And by the looks of it a caterer works out of that building, so pollution ain't that bad. Ideal? Probably not. Cruel? No way.

Probably. Lots of diesel trucks and locomotives. Prob lots of soil continuation, lead and such.

I would be willing to bet the air is cleaner there than the front yards of people who live adjacent to highways (like myself)

Glad they finally got the greenlight to build. We desperately need more services to help folks, and the chorus of "not here!" is only making it worse for all of us.
