Cumulative federal funds means the total amount of funds in the TAP program for that year...not for that individual project. That last column is just a running total. Bi-State is requesting a total of $500,000 (of which $400,000 would be federal) for this particular item.quincunx wrote: ↑Jan 10, 2023The Cumulative Federal Funds number is $16M. Does that mean moving the platforms? It'd be great to have a center olatform with elevator access from the Wabash station and on the south side if Delmar. It irks me the Delmar bridge was built too narrow to accomodate that. Two entrances are prob incompatible with their annoying security strategy of fewer access points. I also wonder if they're eying the Cresent Plumbing site for structured parking. Sure hope WashU, Bi State, et al are working on plans akin to what's shown in the SD and TOD plans.
Reminder-
Very hopeful to see this density around an active Wabash station soon. The vision is very dynamic.quincunx wrote: ↑Jan 10, 2023Reminder-Wabash-Station_Delmar-Loop-2-1.jpg
A $500k feasibility study for uses for the Wabash Station is on the draft list of Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) projects.

^It was funded.
Appears to be some movement on Delmar Station TOD including Wabash station redevelopment. Estimated cost of Wabash Station is $33.8M which I assume would be supported with federal funds but I am not sure. This would be a pretty great last minute appropriation of the covid funding.
Bi-State is also prepared to let go of it's parking in support of redevelopment.

Bi-State needs to sell most of its parking lots. I use Shrewsbury every now and then, and it gets maybe 100-150 cars per day even though there's 825 spaces. Could have a 200 unit TOD apartment building there and keep 200 spaces for the park and ride people.

Maybe they could pop another "Metro Store" in the station like they have at 8th and Pine. Whatever they do I hope it has a high use, it's the most important piece of connective tissue between the east and west Loop
Wabash Station study in for $500,000 in 2026. $100,000 locally, $400,000 federal.
