CRO staff denial of the mural on DeBaliviere and the sign on Delmar were both overturned on appeal-- GOOD!

I completely missed this because I'm slower than a turtle in traffic, but . . . fantastic!
^PRO,
Thank you for the information. I'll try to file it away in my noggin for next time. (Most of the time I agree with their decisions, but every once in a while . . . )
Anyway, thank you for your civic service. Seriously.

Don't worry, you have will have chances to participate every month! And thanks. I enjoy the service even though I doubt that I always make members of this forum happy with my votes.symphonicpoet wrote: ↑Jul 26, 2022I completely missed this because I'm slower than a turtle in traffic, but . . . fantastic!

^Vote your conscience. I accept that we can disagree. Usually.

^Well, for better or worse I sounded off against Grove LLC. If the property database is to be believed they've been bunding them since 2006. In that time they've not pulled a single permit to do any maintenance work on any of them. This is piracy of the very worst sort. It removes properties from circulation, contributing to artificial scarcity and raising prices for everyone else. I hope they are obliged to fix them or sell them to better custodians.

Prelim for October - The Manchester demos are back - with no indication of what will replace them, and - interesting McKinley Heights proposal - 20 units in 3 buildings on a couple of vacant lots on Geyer

The Geyer project overlooks the 44/55 interchange. Might have some nice DT views though.beer city wrote: ↑Oct 17, 2022Prelim for October - The Manchester demos are back - with no indication of what will replace them, and - interesting McKinley Heights proposal - 20 units in 3 buildings on a couple of vacant lots on Geyer

The move of this meeting away from its usual spot means that I will miss it (I will be in Santiago, Chile presenting at a conference on heritage). I encourage everyone here to engage the meeting if you care about any of the items. Send emails, yes. Testify on Zoom (pretty easy), even better.

Trying to get into the meeting. Is anyone in? Or having troubles?

Love this tool but also should be treated like Wikipedia - use as a starting point and confirm with Sanborn maps or other contemporary sources.quincunx wrote: ↑Dec 28, 2022Stltoday - How old is that building? Check the map of St. Louis and St. Charles counties and St. Louis city to find out

Got this email back from the CRO about 1224 Kraft:
"The applicant has requested a deferral, which we will communicate to the Preservation Board. Assuming they agree to defer, the matter would most likely be heard at the January 23rd Preservation Board meeting. Still, because it remains on tomorrow's agenda, we will pass along your comment to the Preservation Board. "

^ A previous owner recently had submitted permit applications for single-fams on that lot and for the adjacent 5806 Westminster vacant lot. Hopefully this plan is for eventual two-fams on each lot for a total of four units but it's possible they are planning to consolidate the two lots.
