Walked past on monday and it looks like an auxiliary bar to me.
^ Thanks. That makes more sense and probably not a bad idea considering how crowded it can get down there at times. I'm not crazy about the placement though.
Dewitt III just mentioned a phase 3 is coming as the building behind him BPV One Cardinal way is full…
Let the gossip start and lets start the speculations!!!
I’m very glad to hear that directly from him!!!

Where did he say it and what did he say exactly?
At the speech of making Downtown safer! It was live on Youtube so there has to be a video or in the news.jshank83 wrote:Where did he say it and what did he say exactly?

I got the impression that an announcement was imminent and even thought he was going into details then and there.
But he mentioned his full residential tower and phase 3.

To me it didn’t seem like anything was imminent. He just said “hopefully more to come” when he brought up phase 3

Found it:
TL;DR
- Reiterate Cardinals commitment to downtown St. Louis.
- Phase 2 opened in 2020 and we have visions for a 3rd phase as well.
- Apartment tower is full, hopefully more to come.

Jason Hall, CEO of Greater St. Louis, Inc. The company he brought up is Balto, which was already announced (and already moved into their new office fwiw): https://www.bizjournals.com/stlouis/new ... rters.html

Ballpark Village Phase 3 perfection. Imagine a mirror image of this on the corner of Broadway and Walnut:

I really, really like what BKV Group is doing.

^ Yeah that’s pretty badass. Great fit behind OCW. Would rather see something taller on the other lots though.
It would be awesome but for some reason I think and I’m just guessing here that the second tower would look better on 8th and Walnut! Idk! That’s just me! I would love two towers to be honest 8th and walnut and that one you mentioned on Broadway and walnut lol…urbanitas wrote:Ballpark Village Phase 3 perfection. I suspect that the buildings along Walnut Street will ascend in height from east to west. The building I posted above is made up mostly of micro units, an untapped market around Ballpark Village (and only 12 parking spaces!). And since the ballpark views are mostly blocked here, a mid-rise makes more sense on the corner of Broadway and Walnut. Plus, it's smaller, less expensive, and therefore easier for Cardish to pull the trigger in the next couple years...JJ Rivera wrote: ↑Sep 14, 2021It would be awesome but for some reason I think and I’m just guessing here that the second tower would look better on 8th and Walnut! Makes sense! You’ll think the Taylor would follow through and do high rises as well by the MLS stadium? As the stadium is not as high as Busch you can do multiple like 12 stories. I just want to see building go upurbanitas wrote:I suspect that the buildings along Walnut Street will ascend in height from east to west. ^ Well Busch opened in 2006 so it only took 14 years to open the first high-rise. Let the Taylor’s get their stadium finished and maybe then they’ll move on some other projects. Pre-pandemic there was some talk of them moving their HQ near the stadium.
In terms of a Phase III announcement, I think they want to do another office building and may be waiting for a tenant, just my own speculation, I don’t have an inside track. Considering the leasing at OCW, I don’t know why they don’t get started on the next residential tower, office space be damned.

Where is their HQs right now? Is it Clayton?sc4mayor wrote:^ Well Busch opened in 2006 so it only took 12 years to get the first high-rise. The roof is so wide, they'd have to be 30+ stories to get views of the field.JJ Rivera wrote: ↑Sep 14, 2021Makes sense!
