I completely understand if they're actually different thoughts. How we're discussing two different issues right now is a case in point. But a handful a users seem to literally put every sentence on it's own line, double-spaced. And I too always view this on desktop, if you're curious. By no means a criticism of anyone who's done this. It might just be a relic of older forum usage or perhaps email formatting.framer wrote: I like to give each separate thought it's own space, so to speak. ... I always read the Forum on a desk top PC with a full size screen; maybe things look completely different on a phone.
Agree with the photo quotes, though.
Random question, I used to use the dark colored theme on this site, and after an unrelated browser issue it's switched back to white, and I can't seem to find the setting to switch it back...anyone know where that is?

Tested this - once you've saved a draft in the full editor, reopen the full editor in the topic you wish to reply to. There should now be a "Load Draft" button next to the "Save Draft" button. That said, I'm not sure how many posts you may save at once, or if a saved post is tied to a specific topic or just the whole forum, or if the draft is deleted if you delete your browser data or something similar.gary kreie wrote: ↑Oct 29, 2019I think I save a draft of a post I was writing a few days ago. Where do I go to find my drafts? Can't seem to find it anywhere.
So I am pretty new here. I found this forum when I was on a hunt for websites about St. Louis locations and history, as I want to start writing articles for my Substack about cool and relatively unknown places in and around St. Louis.
I just finished an article about a 1925 bridge I discovered, and when I dug into the history, I found out some pretty cool things. I'd love to share it with the forum and maybe get some feedback if people know about the area, but I don't know if doing that would be frowned upon.

Hey Jadana, welcome! Absolutely would not be frowned upon. Off the top of my head, this sounds like something that would be perfect to post in our Random St. Louis thread: random-st-louis-t9805.html Depending on what your goals are for your articles, @quincunx might have some advice / share via NextSTL.com as well. Just tossing that out as a possible idea too.
Fine by me. I love learning the history of local places; the odder the better.

Welcome aboard! I look forward to hearing more about it and I'm dying to know which bridge. The Sulphur Avenue bridge over River des Peres fits the bill, maybe. Strange little relic. Anyway . . . looking forward to it!jadana wrote: ↑Sep 06, 2021So I am pretty new here. Bingo! I'm already excited that someone else knows that bridge exists!symphonicpoet wrote: ↑Sep 07, 2021Welcome aboard! I look forward to hearing more about it and I'm dying to know which bridge. Thanks, I will post it now.

I didn't really know anything much about it. I'd seen it and wondered, but not taken it any farther. However, I do know bridgehunter.com and they seem to have an unusually deep catalog in Missouri. (I have a feeling the author lives somewhere nearby.) Neat stuff! Thank you for posting. From one St. Louis fairytale author to another.

Dweebe and LeeHarveyAwesome are being openly racist about black Americans in the restaurant thread. Is this within the forum rules and tolerances?
