I think this photo was taken from the East end of the McKinley bridge. Here is a view with nearly the same angle from Google Street View.

The one most striking to me is Tucker looking south. Tucker was designed and built to be the grandest street in St. Louis.

I see the large round tank just to the right of the Lumiere Casino Hotel. I believe that is the tank next to the new Musial Bridge ramps on to I-70. I wonder how hard it would be to zoom back a little and re-take this shot with one of the Musial Bridge towers in the photo. I can't guess where the photographer stood when he/she took this shot.

I found out who took this photo, by the way. It was Bob Sandor, who lives here and has taken a number of amazing photos. I am following him and his work on flickr.

^ Nice shots. First looks as though it might've been from the Park East Tower. I've spent some time this summer next door in one of the Barnes Medical Campus towers and been impressed with similar views. Always like these shots of the downtown skyline from the west as opposed to the more common ones from the east.

There's other stuff in the album that might be suitable, but I've at least dabbled with all of these as wallpaper. I feel wallpaper is best when it's at least a little abstract. Or maybe not too specific would be a better way to put it. None of the above are absurdly abstract, but the subject isn't too specific.

^I love the Midtown to the Arch night shot. And the night river shots are classic. Great concert shot, too.

Wow.  Great new photos. What is the longest lens folks are using to get those shots that pull the arch and downtown together?
