Odd that they refer to it as the "final phase" of BPV, considering it's pretty obvious that there'll be more built out as demand dictates.
^ I think that’s just poor word choice by the WSJ. DeWitt has been pretty clear he has further plans.

And the placement of that World Series trophy should be evidence enough. Would be a really odd location if there weren’t future buildings planned on the north side of that roundaboutsc4mayor wrote:^ I think that’s just poor word choice by the WSJ. DeWitt has been pretty clear he has further plans.

STL Biz Journal: Without Busch Stadium crowds, here's how the Cardinals plan to engage fans this season (paywalled)
From the article:
From the article:
Quick notes:Without crowds at Busch Stadium, Cardinals President Bill DeWitt III said Friday he sees the adjacent Ballpark Village entertainment district as providing a place where baseball can gather during the season. Ballpark Village said Friday it will have several areas open during the season to “enjoy a gameday experience” and that it will sell a limited number of tickets for home games for the Budweiser Brew House Bud Deck Rooftop, which looks into Busch Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Cardinals continue to work on a plan that would allow a limited number of fans inside the stadium at some point.
“We have a plan that’s almost ready to go that would bring fans in and do all the things we need to do to keep them safe,” said DeWitt III. "It will be ready to go, and if we can have them, we will."
- They will be proactively encouraging social distancing with limited seating at the Deck and at the venues inside BPV, i.e.: Wear a mask, and keep away from other people.
- They don't think many people will be massing along Clark to peer into the empty stadium during games: "... there’s really nowhere to get an unobstructed view of the game at street level. There’d be no reason to gather that closely, for example, up against the fence."
- No big opening celebration for BPV Phase 2 this year; they'll have one in the Spring (knock wood).
- They're leasing around 10 apartments/week since MLB announced they're playing this year.
Brew House rooftop tix ain't cheap - $100 apiece. They do include food and beverages in the price, though. They're limiting it to 100 tickets per game, which is about half the normal capacity. No plans at the moment to sell Cardinals Nation rooftop seats, though that may change at some point.gone corporate wrote: ↑Jul 20, 2020STL Biz Journal: Without Busch Stadium crowds, here's how the Cardinals plan to engage fans this season (paywalled)

Sweet action. Are the facilities called the Roto-Rooter Restrooms?
"Now playing, on the Missouri Lottery Stage at Together Credit Union Plaza. . . "
A mouthful. Too much. They'll probably just call it the "Plaza Stage". It would make more sense to me to shorten it to that.framer wrote: ↑Jul 22, 2020"Now playing, on the Missouri Lottery Stage at Together Credit Union Plaza. . . "
Work has began on the sign where the One Cardinal Way banner sign was covering the garage on clark street.

^Gorgeous, even with that Blade Runner TV. Makes me look forward to Phase 3 being announced.
Same time, my eyes are drawn to the biggest eyesore in Downtown: the old Stouffer's/Clarion/Millennium Hotel. That entire site could be one of the most exciting and brand-defining locations for a major corporate HQ in the country, being right across the street from a National Park while sitting front and center to a downtown skyline. Right now, I'd even take a Blade Runner-style pyramid there so long as it's capped at 300'. It's disgusting and embarrassing how that property is just sitting there to rot when it all needs to be reinvented...
But, I don't want to go OT here. BPV2 looks solid, and will only look more impressive with BPV3. Nice photos y'all.

Looks good. I wasn't expecting it to mimic the Deloitte and Equitable buildings so closely. There's a grey glass district emerging.
Heard. City development leadership seems to never have any news for it though. You also have to think if 300 Broadway came through Millennium would be blocked, yes?gone corporate wrote: ↑Jul 23, 2020^Gorgeous, even with that Blade Runner TV. Makes me look forward to Phase 3 being announced.

Either way, sad front door for driving into Downtown, backdrop for ball games.
Looks like they just put up another temporary fabric leasing sign this morning...Gary5071 wrote: ↑Jul 22, 2020Work has began on the sign where the One Cardinal Way banner sign was covering the garage on clark street.

If you look really closely, you can see that the letters in the new Big Mac Land sign are dynamic LED panels (they've got the American flag displaying on them in this shot). Here's the webcam view from an hour ago...
It looks as One Cardinal way is 69% leased with 90 apartments left to leased from their website.
Feel that this is pretty in line with expectations, especially given the unexpected economic turnaround. But does anyone have additional color surrounding the 69% leased at this point? Is it good? Bad? Okay?Gary5071 wrote: ↑Jul 28, 2020It looks as One Cardinal way is 69% leased with 90 apartments left to leased from their website.
^ I'd say it's fine considering our current reality. According to an interview with DeWitt that was posted further back, some folks backed out when the job market tanked because of Covid. But once baseball announced its return, DeWitt said they were leasing close to 10 apartments a week. I don't think the building is going to be ready for occupancy for another month or two...so if that 10 a week holds true then it should be mostly filled by the time it starts accepting the bulk of its new residents.

STL Biz Journal: Scott Credit Union will open 1.4MM retail branch at 8th and Cardinal Way
Funny how Together CU grabbed naming rights to the BPV plaza while Scott CU grabbed a branch site. Glad to see both have their presence there all the same. When it comes to community banking, I firmly believe credit unions are better than standard retail banks.

Some already have moved in. I know someone that did last week.chriss752 wrote: ↑Jul 29, 2020They start move ins this Saturdaysc4mayor wrote:^ I'd say it's fine considering our current reality. ^Well, that's one way to actually watch the game right now. If you have a friend over there . . . enjoy.
