The next round of glass should be going up soon. The maneuverable winch equipment is on site to raise glass panels from within the building itself and they're currently adding the lowest ribbon panels on the NW corner. Look for it to start going up floor by floor at a much faster pace soon.

Looks like the tower should be topped-out sometime in the next week or so.

^^ Only pre fab could give a full size mock up like that

I'm wondering though, Is the garage above coming together as good as the Ikea furniture I put together for my son last weekend or even the Ikea shelf he put together himself.

Shouldn't be too much longer before all the steel is in place. I'd imagine a topping out ceremony is near. Looks like just some corner beams and the central core (AC / HVAC support?) is all that's left.

Assuming that all happens in the next few days, does the crane come down within the next few weeks?

From the webcam it appears as though demolition/excavation has begun for the portion of the project encompassing the lot between the garage and the new Wellbridge space. Will be great to see the streetwall continue down Forsyth and to have some more apartments come online.

There appears to be a handful of steel beams left to be placed on the main tower. Elsewhere, the parking garage is coming together, and as newstl2020 said above, excavation and demolition has begun on the residential portion. I think this is going to look exceptional once all the buildings go up. I am thinking that it shouldn't be much longer to will hear something on the residential Tower along Carondelet and the next round of skyscrapers at the wedge site behind the Ritz Carlton. Here are some photos from today from varying angles. The first is from nearly same spot as the photos I posted above.

Here are the new angles...

I don't recall there being any residential in phase 1- what residential are you speaking of?

I think the parking garage is supposed to have apartments on the south side.

^^^ Nice pics Chris, I copied those over to city-data.

^ You are correct, apartment tower will be in subdistrict 2c south of the 2 garages under construction now. Here is the link to the nextstl story though I thought I read later that the tower will not be taller:

As of this morning there's a drilling rig on site for the apartment building. Going to be great to get a streetwall going up along Forsyth again.

What makes you guys think there will be apartments facing Forsyth? I believe the lot along Forsyth - the former Wellbridge site - where the drilling rigs just showed up will just be more garage. The residential will be a standalone building on the south side of the eastern garage, facing Carondelet Plaza. There hasn't been any demolition, drilling, activity, etc... on the Carondelet future residential lot.

I guess I am getting renderings mixed up because a NextSTL Story from June 2017 (on the auditorium) shows a side view of the buildings approaching Hanley on Forsyth and they look like Apartments even with the design revision. Maybe Centene did that to give it "that vibe" but instead will be parking. If that's the case, bummer. As for the Carondelet Lot, I know it has been revised to be taller but I hope they consider changing it from Condos to Apartments. You could have many more people on Carondelet than if you continued the Condo trend there. The Cresent and Plaza add enough Condos to this part of Clayton, add some apartments to tie it all together.

Is this the rendering you're talking about?

(Ganked from NextSTL's story of June 7, 2017.)

From Clayco's website that seems nearly current. And it really does look like apartments, but if you read the fine print on the elevations and plans included in the June 7 story it sounds like virtually everything facing Forsyth really is garage.

(From the same story as above.)

Now, there were to be apartments wrapping around the south and east side of the structure, but all of that seems to have changed with the move of the auditorium and the modification of the overall site plan, not to mention the taller narrower apartment/condo structure proposed in the spring. There have been so many changes it's a little dizzying. But the streetwall should be pretty solid by any account, and everything I recall seeing and that I can presently find shows street level retail along Forsyth, so you should have plenty of activity there. Or at least the potential for it.

^The second elevation image is what fooled me. Oh well. At least we will get a taller condo tower and retail at the base of the garage.
