I know at least at one point DeWitt talked about the back row of three parcels, I believe, hoping to be used for office, but if the residential tower leases up pretty quickly do we think they'll go ahead and move on more residential like they're doing in KC? Who knows, maybe the office will fill out fast, too, and lead to others who want in the district, but I'm not sure how likely that is given our downtown history of having to pull teeth for office.
I'd like a mix, honestly. At least retail+residential.
I think a major goal here should be to bring more people back Downtown past 5 pm.

I've always hoped for residential anchors on the Southeast and Northwest corners, with office for the remaining parcels. The Southeast is currently becoming a reality!
Awesome to see the tower crane downtown. It's a huge step forward in perception going into the new season. Let's hope we get a few more before the end of the season.

With the 300 Broadway Tower - it seems to be. I like the fact that we are building a tall residential tower outside of BPV already.I'm hoping these 2 cranes alone will be trend setters for downtown
What company is actually building BPV2? I can't find this info anywhere. I'm trying to see if they have a web cam up, or other cameras on their other sites.
Paric is Building it. They have cameras but they aren’t public, yet.danke0 wrote:What company is actually building BPV2? I can't find this info anywhere. I'm trying to see if they have a web cam up, or other cameras on their other sites.

A Cordish sales rep for the residential tower was just on KMOX.... says 50 units are already leased. I'm thinking this is going to be 100% leased by opening. Wouldn't doubt a follow-on tower is announced next year.
There will be two more on site before Mid May. There will be one for the Loews Hotel (since the one installed isn’t big enough for the whole block) and another for One Cardinal Way
MAYBE (a 10% chance of happening) we will have four at once if 300 South Broadway gets underway fairly quickly. I know we will have two because One Cardinal Way and 300 Broadway will be under construction at the same time. So we can get our “crane porn” in for now until other things pop up.Chalupas54 wrote:Three cranes from this vantage...optics galore.

^Nice shot Moorlander! Sorry the game didn't come out a bit better, but it looks like it was a great day for it anyway.

^ not my pic but thanks!
Yesterday’s home opener was a big day for leasing at One Cardinal Way. Now up to 91 pre-leased.

Maybe the folks building the tower across the street will add a few floors to their proposal.

Wow - that's incredible. I would assume 91 out of the 297 total right?
Yes. Francine at the Leasing Office today told me that 91 are leased (which is equal to 36% of the total building). I asked her about a second residential tower and she answered, “we are going to wait and see how 300 South Broadway goes in terms of leasing but I expect it to go fast because of how the rental rates differ between the two”.pattimagee wrote:Wow - that's incredible. ^ now that is some good news. Will be interesting to see what smaller developments are proposed nearby if they are successful (Chouteaus landing comes to mind)

^agreed. Also curious about the old Mike Shannon’s building. That would be an interesting spot with BPV on one side and Kiener plaza and 7th street beautification.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the "Cupples X" proposal pop up again before too long if all goes well with BPV office ; maybe even in more ambitious form.
The Mike Shannon’s site is a prime location for a residential/retail building mix. Doesn’t have to be tall but demand is there for residential near the Gateway Mall and BPV.TCB wrote:^agreed.
