I follow that thread andt to my knowledge there's nothing concrete in the works, right? My employer mentioned that there has been talk of a Frankfurt route for years now.
I don't know if I'd call it panic, and it's anecdotal, but I believe there is some real concern that redundancies will be found and eliminated among non-research positions. They still seem to be hiring a lot of people. Hartford is a major hub for the insurance industry, including health insurance (Aetna is also there). And Hartford is a relatively inexpensive city, but still convenient to Boston and NYC.quincunx wrote: Why wouldn't they move the HQ here?
