the opening will include a 72 car parking lot next to the building and no
buildings will be torn down.
Going to be a unique place where everyone can enjoy fun and great food.

I go to the one here (in KC) for lunch -- GREAT burgers & "unique" doesn't begin to describe the atmosphere... Should be a great addition to the area.mark wegmann wrote:Going to be a unique place where everyone can enjoy fun and great food.
What I find funny, is that so many of them make a big deal about how you can get any topping you want on your burger! Oh, you mean like pretty much every restaurant I've been to in my life?lukethedrifter wrote:Nothing against this place but what's with the crazy proliferation of hamburger joints across the country?
Any reason why? Just typical city BS or some sort of passive/aggressive act because it's a "gay" place?mark wegmann wrote:It's taken way more time getting the parking lot approval than anticipated - we are now MOVING forward -

Yes. While I was out in Westhinterland the other night, I gave Smashburger a try. Nothing groundbreaking, but damn, that was a great burger! The fries with olive oil and garlic were quite delicious as well. I forgot all about Five Guys, which is another in the long line of dolled-up burger joints.kujay wrote:You can fancy up a burger and it's still cheaper than steak. They got this recession on still. Plus dudes and kids like burgers.
The restaurant is described as "family friendly" right next to this picture.leeharveyawesome wrote:I was lunching with my gay friend and he mentioned Hamburger Marys. He asked if I've heard of it and that it's opening in St. Louis. I said yeah I heard. He said it's kind of gay-ish. I immmediately knew I would have to try it out. We thought it was odd that a burger place could in any way have a gay slant. Well, I finally got around to googling "hamburger marys gay". He's right! Sounds awesome!

"Family" is how many of my gay and lesbian friends refer to each other, as in "he is 'family'"juiceinkirkwood wrote:The restaurant is described as "family friendly" right next to this picture.leeharveyawesome wrote:I was lunching with my gay friend and he mentioned Hamburger Marys. Eh, I guess I'm just old fashioned.
What time was it at? When I went to Hamburger Mary's a couple weeks ago I couldn't figure out if the central meter needed to be fed at all times, or before 7:00 pm. I didn't pay, but didn't get a ticket either.framer wrote:Made my second trip to Mary's tonight, and came out to find a parking ticket on my car. And every other car on the lot had one too.
These guys are gonna have a lot of unhappy customers unless they let people know they have to feed the central machine. If there is any signage, it's not very prominent.
I guess that's what seriouseats.com means by it too?southsidepride wrote:"Family" is how many of my gay and lesbian friends refer to each other, as in "he is 'family'"
