Mexico is sending 10,000 troops to a 2,000 mile border. Trump will sell it as a win. It will likely have little or no impact on the flow of illegal migrants or drugs. And if the soldiers can be or already are compromised by the cartels, could make the situation worse.

Mexico basically said "we are gonna do [what we have been doing for years]" and Trump took the deal. Immediately walked back on his Saturday statement saying that the tariffs are not negotiable.

Canada actually isn't committing to anything they hadn't already planned to do, the extra border spending was announced in December. He held the tariff gun and backed down after a phone call. Yeah, there is no coming back from this. We've permanently damaged our international reputation from all of this and have begun to drive once staunch allies and trading partners away from us. Quite frankly, I don't think I've ever seen Canadians so united on something. I wouldn't be surprised to see China, Canada, Mexico, and the EU all come to various beneficial trade agreements with each other and leave America in the dust and try to distance their reliance on the dollar since we can't be trusted to be a reliable partner anymore.
I sure hope Panama has every lock on the canal rigged to blow just in case.
