has anyone else noticed that the bricks on the Euclid-facing wall in the cutout near the residents' entrance are all warped and wavy? at first i thought it must be an intentional effect b/c its so obvious but i don't think it's intentional. i think it's just crappy construction. why is all new construction so... half assed?
I think it's a darn good looking building. I really like this linear white projecting thingy; nice touch.

overall i like the building too. i'm just lamenting that if you look closely most new construction looks cheap compared to legacy buildings.
It appears this just went over 50% leased. Seems like a pretty solid pace considering move-ins started in early March.

This project is now over 90% leased - just over 6 months since move-ins started. With the retail portion also leased up to solid tenants, I wonder if they'll now look to sell, as Mills did next door.
I saw a sign in their lobby that there are only 5 apartments left. As for the office portion, I wonder if they will consider turning that into more residential space since I haven't heard of any office tenant moving in. Finally, who are the last retail tenants?
I knew about the Kaldi's and ZZA but Commerce is new to me. Thanks for sharing. The Euclid sure has a mix of different types of retail. On an unrelated note, if only another retailer could fill the Qdoba space at 9 North then this whole strip will practically be occupied till something new comes along.
Anyone know what's going on?

^ I think the 2nd floor was office. I vaguely remember reading that Koman had their offices there, which might have been cut when Koman merged.
Shame they can’t make office work in the cwe.

Maybe they’re converting the second floor into residential units since office space didn’t work out. It would make sense.quincunx wrote:Anyone know what's going on?
As for Koman having their office here, that never happened. The space was empty since the building opened. Their offices have always been at Clayton on the Park.
Sounds like itchriss752 wrote: ↑May 03, 2020Maybe they’re converting the second floor into residential units since office space didn’t work out. It would make sense.quincunx wrote:Anyone know what's going on?
Curious why you think office is needed in CWE? CORTEX is literally next door and Downtown/Downtown West to the east and Clayton Downtown Business District in the other direction.addxb2 wrote: ↑May 03, 2020^ I think the 2nd floor was office. Second floor becoming 13 apartment units and will be deemed Euclid Cityview. So... office is officially out. These apartments will probably go quickly. Now we need that last retail space top be filled up.

I'm really surprised. I thought lots of folks would like to have offices in the CWE.

I would agree. Lots of things in play, though. Size of the space may not have been a fit, etc.framer wrote: ↑Jun 04, 2020I'm really surprised. I thought lots of folks would like to have offices in the CWE.
No. This space was always vacant. "Zza was where Hot Box Cookies is now (between Kaldi's and Commerce Bank Connect).Miss Shell wrote: ↑Dec 14, 2020Is that the old 'Zza?
Chiropractor. I think the Medical Marijuana Dispensary is going at the old Tom's Bar near Forest Park Avenue.framer wrote: ↑Dec 14, 2020Medical marijuana dispensary?
