Have you had your first walk-through, Brian? I had mine at the beginning of February, so imagine they're up at least to your floor by now. By the way, I saw them unloading more windows today. I know they've already delivered the third and fourth floor windows, so I assume these were for fifth and possibly sixth floor. They don't look so large installed (especially in comparison to second floor), but as they were unloading them I could see how big they really are! I'm thinkin about 4.5' wide and 7.5' tall.

No I haven't. They told me early April for my walk-through. It's tentatively scheduled for April 8th, but I that hasn't been confirmed yet.

That's not too far off. Good luck with it! It's a great feeling being able to see your unit for the first time. I brought my camera and took lots of photos.

HBM, when did you schedule your walkthrough? Did they send a letter or did you ask about it yourself? We don't have a walkthrough scheduled.

I called Melanie in early Feb because she had told me that my walk-through would be in mid-Feb. After she checked with the building foreman she told me that they probably wouldn't start until early April. Given that I work for an accounting firm, that wasn't what I wanted to hear because of tax season. I happen to have Apr. 8th off because I'm working the 9th instead. So we tentatively scheduled it for then to make sure that if that day was available, I could get in, otherwise I wouldn't be available for a couple more weeks.

Brian and STL Christy - I mentioned yesterday that windows for fourth and fifth floor were being unloaded. Today they're hoisting drywall up to those floors. Those are both good signs that things are moving along on your floor. Who knows? Maybe you'll see new windows installed already when you have your pre-drywall walkthrough! I wish they were in when I had mine!

That would be awesome. I guess we need to ask Melanie when we can do our walkthrough and get it set up.

Has anyone heard of units that are recently becoming available within Bankers? If so does anyone know the reasons for them?

Out of 75 loft reservations, you've gotta think that a couple would fall through at some point. I'd say it's just the law of averages. Unless someone knows something I don't.

All the available units are posted on their website at www.bankerslofts.com. One person dropped their reservation because they didn't like the way Pyramid measured square footage, but they use the industry standard, so I think he just really didn't understand that. Otherwise, the people I've talked with on here are all very excited about their units and anxious to get moved in. We all think we got exceptional value out of our investment and working with the people at Pyramid has been a good experience.

Nice to have another new neighbor visiting this site! Welcome, yesterday1! If you check back on page 10, you'll find out about some of the others that visit here regularly. I'll be moving into 307 in May sometime.

You missed this one, CK: "The people I've talked with on here are all very excited about their units." Freud would have a heyday with that one!

It's good to know before I move in what kind of people will be living there.

And that we're going to get along just fine!

As for pets, I'm allergic to most animals, though I've considered a dog that doesn't shed.

I don't have a dog now, as I'm gone all day and often work late, but since I'll live right next door to where I work, I'm seriously thinking about it.

To all of you who have purchased a unit at Bankers, did you utilize a real estate agent? Could you elaborate why or why not you made this decision?

Thanks.

I don't think the decision was really ours. It's how Pyramid does it. They have their own staff to handle signing people up to purchase their lofts. Lucas Lofts, on the other hand, uses an agent to sell their lofts. Personally, I prefer working directly with Pyramid. Those of us that showed interest put our money down to "reserve" a loft and fix the price until we committed by signing a contract. Pyramid has a strong enough reputation so I felt comfortable doing that and the realtor that's selling my condo has worked with Stirling (the fellow at Pyramid that I worked with to reserve my loft) before and had nothing but positive comments about him.

we used an agent to sell our house and we wanted her to also look over all our paperwork for the loft.
