I have read your posts and seem you have a bitter taste. I enjoy my unit and sorry that you do not. Just from some of your posts, I think you were in the hotel with the rest of us while our units were being finished. It was a little uncomfortable in the hotel but it saved me money not having to pay for rent. If you are the person I am thinking of, you vomited all over the hotel floor and bathroom from drinking way too much and if not I apologze for making that remark. I enjoy where I live and want to share my thougths with others just as you have with others. I do not know whom Pups3 is either or your comment about the pool .

Jeez you have resorted to personal accusations now. Apology accepted! You can refrain from future nasty posts since I won't be reading this website any more.
Yes spending a month in a hotel is just what I signed up for when I chose a place to rent and I so loved coming home every night after a hard day at work to my 300 sq ft hotel room...and then to find out I was going to be hosting a house warming party with tacky shower curtains on the window. Mmm wonder why I am bitter.
I'm glad you are enjoying living there. I am too enjoying my new place I bought without dealing with rude leasing people and construction noise.

No apology needed. Take your bitterness some where else. I know who you are. You are the lady that said all Americans SUCK ! and St. Louis is a Getto and Anheuser Busch products suck even though they are your largest client where you work. You also stated that our Football and Baseball are not real sports. .
SO ANY ONE THAT HAS READ POST FROM "QUEENIE", please keep in mind this is from some one that does not understand U.S. customs and culture. I LOVE where I live and I do not live in a GETTO.

That's enough Taegis. Personal attacks are not allowed on this forum and you continue to do it in all of your posts. Any future violations of the rules will result in actions taken against your account. And personal attacks on a public forum against a possible customer of yours can't really help you promote the building too much, can it? Don't forget that mods and admins can see your email adress even if others can't. We do know who you are.

The fact that you and Pups3 both seem to be focused on the famous pool, I'd imagine you are actually the leasing people since thats all they used to say "ignore the fact your apartment has shower curtains at the windows to look like a trailer park and the fact you haven't got half the amenities we promised but hey, don't we have a lovely pool".
Enjoy your pool.
So it turns out you were right Queenie, you are astute. I do believe this is the first time I've seen the developers' sales staff flame clients. Amusing. Best of luck in your new place.MattnSTL wrote:That's enough Taegis. Personal attacks are not allowed on this forum and you continue to do it in all of your posts. Thank you. I appreciate the comments. At least being rude isn't a US Custom that apparently I am unaware of. I just picked up the keys to my condo today and so I am very happy to be finally making a home in a place with bad beer

Terrace Lofts arranged for O2Connect to manage an Internet and voice service with a network established over the electric cables in the building, bursting transmission via antennas downtown. They also manage several other buildings, so I figured bailing on AT&T's DSL sounded pretty safe. Service here was established about two weeks ago, and after signing a 1 year contract and committing to parting with my money, we've had Internet. Sort of -- it's been unfortunately intermittent as the infrastructure has been tweaked.
Currently, they (we) are experiencing connectivity issues due to a crane and the construction of a parking garage (sigh) downtown, obstructing the broadcast location, and a replacement antenna is planned. I'd be more amused if I wasn't paying for this "connection." I wanted to offer a heads up to others here that may be experiencing issues, and to let you know a workaround is in progress.
Subject change to unfinished business:
Pups3/Taegis,
Either of you know when we're getting door security, mailbox service, an elevator, or when the (certainly not "ghetto") temporary solution will be replaced with blinds?

Those are lovely window treatments. Were the chrome rings included, or was that an option?

I was present for the Terrace Lofts opening. I love the design of the lofts! They are by far some of the best i have seen. The project developers seem to be great people. The guy they have hired as a property manager is a different story. I spoke to him about renting there and felt like I was talking to a used car salesman! I says one thing and then 10 minutes later has a totally different line. He tries to make you think he is some big shot but in reality is just some loser renting aparments. The project would go much better with a different management company
He has already hit this forum. Look back at the last two pages.
And welcome to the forum.

Saaman just bought the building across the street from the Terrace Lofts at 1335 Convention Plaza - it's a three-story building that appears to have been "re-faced" at some point.
Perhaps more lofts are on the way...

A few more details via CoStar
Saaman Development LLC purchased 1335 Convention Plaza in St. Louis as an investment for nearly $1.28 million, or a little more than $70 per square foot.
Constructed in 1980, this two-story office building totals 18,000 square feet with additional basement storage space.
Don Woehle of Trammell Crow Krombach Partners represented the seller, Fallon Investments. Saaman Development LLC represented itself.
I have difficulty in seeing this an attractive space for residential with its tiny windows and the industrial and parking-lot surroundings, but where there's demand... In any case, it's encouraging to see investment on land north of Convention/Delmar.

Can you tell if it's a reclad or if the building was originally built with small windows? I thought it was a reclad for some reason - if so, there might be something attractive beneath the surface.

Hard to say on the cladding -- from a distance it looks to be thick and permanent, though closer inspection may prove otherwise.
Here's a (poorly shot and stitched) pan of Terrace Loft's north view, but it gives you an idea of the area if you've not seen. 1335 Convention can be seen at the left across the street.
I'll make a new one with a better camera next chance I get, and may walk over to visit this evening.

Good stuff. It's hard to tell from that pic - I seem to remember the side that faces 14th Street looking "old," but I may that it confused with another building.
I briefly spoke with one of the elevator guys this morning: the elevator inspector's supposed to visit today, and they hope to have it finally operational within a week.
If they continue with the original plans they had, your card-key will only take you to your own floor, but I don't think they've enabled any of that security around the building yet.

I am moving downtown from Jefferson County, so it will be a huge change for me. Can anyone tell me how the Terrace Lofts are? They are in my price range, but I am not sure of the area or building in general. I am in deciding between the "loft district" and the soulard area. Any help would be appreciated.

I went to the grand opening at Terrace Lofts and strongly considered renting one of them. I know they had some construction delays and other problems but how are things going there now? I would still consider moving there if things are running smoothly and of course if there are any units available at this time.
