Best case scenario for most breweries these days is to keep sales flat. Gen Z isn't drinking nearly as much and when they do it's not typically beer. So many breweries opened during the 2010s (plus a trickle of them in the 2020s) that it's been very hard on the business model of regional sized craft breweries IE UCBC and Schlafly. Before, growth was as easy as expanding distribution to more states, but now every state has their own over saturated local markets which killed this model.
Now you see breweries like 4Hands building taprooms all over the place because that has been a better path to growth in the post COVID era. I'm sure they are pretty leveraged themselves so we will see how it works out for them.
