That's an actual artist rendering of our friend Doug.

I just heard workers were putting up construction fencing around the San Luis. I have not yet seen it myself, but I doubt this is good news.

Drove past it a couple of hours ago. It looked like Laclede Gas was in force. I assumed they were physical disconnecting/removing the gas service considering that a part of the street was tore up in front.

^ Yep - gas has been disconnected. If those hoping to stop the demolition are waiting for the right time to act, may I suggest that the time might be now?

By ordinance, we have to do it at the exact right time. You'll know when we do.

There is fencing around the entire site now. Looks like demo should be starting soon.

^I for one

dont believe a word you say

funny you never used forthcoming when asked about the performance of the site

If the gas is cut off they have more than likely started irrepairable demo work on the inside

if your efforts are to do some kind of blockade, your only accomplishment will be to get arrested

lol FAIL!!

Wow, you don't let some things drop...

I can provide no further comment on what people may or may not be doing at this time. At the appropriate time, those that want to know will know if something has or has not happened.

Don't assume you know the whole story. First of all, the Archdiocese does not yet have a demolition permit, so your "irreparable damage" theory is inaccurate. They can shut off the utilities to the building and do some non-structural preliminary abatement, but they cannot legally begin demolition of the building without a permit.

Secondly, this is not over.

Drove by the San Luis and looks like part of the building in being demolished.
