Preliminary Agenda for Monday, April 27th has been posted:

Also - I noticed a huge spike in the average days to Issue for building permits.  Example: two weeks ago the avg. time for a residential alteration was like 15 days.  As of today it's showing 40.  Anyone know if the city is simply overwhelmed or is COVID-19 impacting the process?

^I'm a little stunned FPCC's demo is still up for review. I thought that had gotten the green light before construction even started. What would they possibly do if it's not permitted? Isn't the building under construction supposed to extend into the footprint of what's already there kind of Busch II/Busch III style?

^They've already been stripping windows etc. out of the old building. Really a shame to see such a landmark go.

Very interesting. That illustration of the new sculpture is kind of hard to read. Preston Jackson's sculptures can be pretty wild. Here are a couple that may indicate the style that we're getting:

Images of the proposed sculpture from the agenda for the click-averse:

The Cultural Resources Office’s consideration of the criteria for the installation of structures on public property led to these preliminary findings
 The proposed cast bronze sculpture will honor enslaved people and their legal representatives who argued their Freedom Lawsuits.
 Preston Jackson is an accomplished sculptor who has experience creating works reflecting the history of the Civil War and emancipation of African-Americans
 The sculpture presents a dynamic visual narrative that will educate the public regarding Freedom Lawsuits.

Based on the Preliminary findings, the Cultural Resources Office recommends that the Preservation Board recommend approval for installation of the Freedom Suits Memorial sculpture.

Wow, that hits home. It's a great sculpture and hopefully a powerful lesson for us all.

The st. Bridget Erin Church demo should have prompted policy change. We'll see this time.
