City had 21 pedestrian deaths in 2024, still zero cyclist deaths.

County had 36 pedestrian deaths (a new record) also zero cyclists

crosswalk looks good.

Wondering how it will take for sinkhole to develop around the manhole cover. Something not right there. with the pipe underground.

Went for a walk over the lunch hour downtown.  The concrete bump outs and re-striping on Broadway are a big improvement.  The intersections were less cumbersome to navigate as a pedestrian, and the street "seemed" busier with car traffic since they reduced it to only two lanes.  Seems like a no-brainer to continue doing this on more roadways downtown.  I saw an article that 4th Street and Washington Ave are next .  This should help slow down traffic and make it easier for pedestrians to navigate.  Better late than never?

Agreed.  Went to the Arch over the weekend and noticed the adjustments.  Happy to see some movement in the right direction.  Felt calmer, slower and confined.  I don't think we need to go the Memphis route of speed humps in Downtown.  Just common sense engineering to simply narrow streets.  If people want to drag race, engineer it out to send them to Hall Street or in the deep county,
