Kind of a funny anecdote, I showed this picture to a buddy of mine tonight and asked him what he thought. He said it was stunning, and that it looked like (and I’m not kidding, he was serious) something from Dubai or London. His specific words were “too bad we can’t have anything like that in STL.” We were literally at a bar in the CWE on Euclid and I walked him outside and said if it wasn’t so foggy you’d be able to see it’s tower crane from here. He was blown away lol. Couldn’t fathom that something like that would pop up here.

Maybe it was due to the lighting/weather, but today was the first time I've noticed the building peeking up from behind the Oakland Avenue overpass on EB 40.  Very cool!

If you drive down big bend from Leclede Station Rd going East you can see the building and the crane it’s pretty noticeable

Formwork for the roof is being placed today.  Things should start to change very quickly once that is poured, and the forms and core platform are removed.

I still would have liked this building if it only had the first 3 or 4 tiers of apartments. Now that it’s topping out I wish it was twice as tall.

Getting spoiled by all this CWE Development.

Blast from the past moment today.....can you guys imagine the skyline shots can City Walk -> Orion stayed as the originally planned Renaissance ??  This thing would be hideous in comparison to 100 but better than that damn clocktower!

I noticed when looking at this shot of the webcam that there is an entryway to the elevator shaft. Does anyone think this will be a rooftop deck?

^I have been wondering about their plans for the roof for awhile.  There is no mention of a rooftop common area on their website, and that would seem to be a big selling point.

Since the penthouse level apartments have no terrace, maybe those units are two-level units with rooftop and private elevator access?  Or it could just be a far less interesting freight elevator access for mechanical and maintenance space...

And don't forget Opus's original 28-story proposal at Euclid and Lindell:

I really hope something like that makes a comeback.

Euclid/Lindell could use something impressive. It's begging for it.

I’m hoping some starchitect with an enormous ego wants to put a tower next to it as a ‘look, my tower’s more awesome than your tower.’

A shot from 100’s Facebook page of the view from one of the highest floors. Fantastic.

^I'd like to see the panorama shot from the 36 Floor unit on the south side of the building, from east to south to west.  I believe it has views in all three directions.

^FWIW, the entire top two floors of the Park East Tower are a single unit. Not only does it have views in all four directions, but it's got outdoor terraces on all four sides of the building! It was originally owned by one of the people involved with developing the tower, so it was all custom-built just the way they wanted it. I was up there several years ago, so I don't know what it looks like today. Pretty amazing, though.

I like the view of the building from Lindell better than the view from Forest Park.

They are currently doing the pour for the roof of level 36. This should complete the structure of the building.

Does anyone know if they plan on extending the top of the facade past the roof line to have a screening element for the mechanical core?

Based on the renderings on the leasing website the facade won't be extended above the roofline very much at all.

Over the last couple of weeks it seemed as if they were pouring for more floors. I was holding out all hope for a surprise announcement from Mac that the tower would reach 40-41 stories. Alas, my hopes have been dashed and the extra pour seems to be mechanical only, drats!

^Lol was right there with you.

Greedy for sure, this is a fantastic building as is. But at 700' this would be a stunner. Fingers crossed for the next one across the alley ;)

The rooftop parapet does not even appear to be as tall as the lower level terrace railings, and seems to be a different material than anything else.  It may be the same metal as the panels, but with a different pattern, or maybe something different...LED panels perhaps?

^Great angle.  Looking forward to seeing this same shot a year from now, except at dusk, with One Hundred and the Christmas decorations lit up, and hopefully with a nice blanket of fresh snow...
