Sounds like a good weekend. Sorry about the MU game, that really is kind of wierd. I think the fences are still up just to keep people off the new grass, because they havn't completely finished repairing th mess they made. And they were putting new emergency generators on the roof of the data center, but that really doesn't matter. I have some pics I could post, but I will probably never get around to doing that.

we went to CWE for mass on Sunday....that Cathedral is amazing....and then our trips to the Hill and out west to meet friends.
Hope you enjoyed yourself, sorry about the game, college sports (even the Bills when they are good) take a back seat to the pros. A lot of my friends and 2 family members went to Mizzou, but to be honest I nver follow them, just hear the scores.
Sorry you were not able to lurk around the city a bit more, St. Louis is a place that you have to discover, pull apart the layers and seek out things in tucked away neighborhoods.
It does not present it self on a platter outside of the Landing and Wash Ave, which are more tourist places. I have transplant and native friends that have lived here for years and I feel like I am showing them hidden gems all the time.
Come back anytime.
Also any recomendations in downtown KC? I am there about 4 times a year on business, and my associates there are fond of the plaza (which is fine by me) but when we are in the vacinity of downtown the only place they want to go is this nasty joint called "The Cigar Box" on Grand, I know there has got to be something better closeby.

BC...must be pretty boring sports life around there now if you guys don't follow any college sports, the NFL is done and the NHL is dead.
KC recommendations: Man if you frequent the cigar box I bet you don't have a very good impression of KC. If I were to suggest some downtown bars I would suggest Tanners or Quaff for a sports bar (10th & Broadway), 12 Baltimore for a cool happy hour bar, Vivace for a swank Italian food joint and martinis afterwards, Kabal as probably the best dance/techno club (Kabal & Vivace both around 5th & Walnut in City Market), Skies inside the hyatt for a good drink and the best view of the city, Johns Deck when it gets warm and can hang out on the 3rd story roof deck, Peanut @ 9th & Broadway/Washington for the best chicken wings I've ever had, River Market Brewery in the city market for some good micro brews, Harry's country Club next to Vivace for some cheap beers and pretty good food, Phoenix for a good jazz experience, as well as Blue Note @ 18th & Vine for some great jazz, Velvet dog & Empire room on Union Hill is a cool set of bars to hang out at, and Bulldog bar just as a cool bar.
Plaza is a great area too as you mentioned and still grabs the majority of the tourists. Downtown is making a comeback....finally.
Food joints real fast I would recommend: Anthonys on 8th & Grand for some pretty quality Italian food, as well as Cascones in river market and Lidias in the freighthouse building. Jack Stack in the freighthouse for BBQ, Ponaks on Southwest Blvd for Mexican food but more for the margaritas. Lulus or Arun for great thai food (arun also has a great happy hour). Phillips Chophouse, majestic, and Hereford House are all solid steakhouses. Good bar food can be found at Tanners, Peanut, Harrys Country Club, and River Market Brewery.
Hit me up sometime @ admin@kcskyscrapers.com and I can give you some more ideas.
