Not sure where else to put this but the interstate on ramp that has been in the front lawn of the DeMenil Mansion since 1960 is all gone.

Saw an article praising the shopping district at the Pearl Brewery in San Antonio this morning. Not near the impressive complex that Lemp is, but they have been able to grow a pedestrian friendly, beautiful neighborhood within the footprint of the former brewery

Really wish the Foundry developers would take on Lemp. Hate not seeing much activity at Lemp besides a called brick building in the last several years

Hobo Hub Works and South City Stitchworks is moving from the second floor of the central white roofed warehouse to the building across the street from Off Broadway.

Will be a much bigger space for them and have better access for bikes (IE a garage door instead of long staircase) Highly recommend y'all pay them a visit in the current space while you still can. It's gorgeous and ethereal up there. 

I also stand by the fact that the right vision and investment could turn this complex into the coolest part of STL. The potential is insane, especially if you consider the large empty spaces adjacent to the complex to it providing cool infill opportunities. 

Yes, the Lemp district would be perfect for this.

i recently visited this space in Philly and the atmosphere was great. It's a huge old school turned maker/artist/small business/nonprofit/coworking space with a coffeeshop, a bakery, a restaurant, maybe more... Lemp sort-of approaches this already but BOK feels like a more cohesive community space.

in particular, the place has great branding, which would probably help Lemp if the owner cared enough.

I was in the Lemp Brewery late last night; a musician invited me there.  What I saw was large inside, and in use.  They were having jam sessions at 3 am in the morning.  I was incredibly shocked this occurred so late.  He had access to several areas.

I went to an art "event" at the Lemp several years ago. The exhibits seemed to stretch all over the place, including some basement levels. It was very cool, and I'd love to see more of that stuff happening. 

I remember seeing a market study/plan Development Strategies did in the mid to late 2000s or so that fleshed out what a major redevelopment here could look like.  As with many things in St. Louis, even 1% growth (hell, even 0.5%) per year could transform a lot of "cool" opportunities.
