The longer they wait to make a decision the more they allow things to simmer get hostile and volatile i know they have a tough decision to make however postponing not going to erase the fact of events that may occur..

Okay guys, I know some of you really want to grow a movie industry here but trying to pitch The Hunger Games: Ferguson Part I is going a bit far don't you think?

I checked out the Cleveland Plain Dealer this morning to see if there were any parallels between their recent incident and Ferguson. The entire paper itself is eerily familiar.

Article on the 12-year-old/police shooting with a racist battle in the comments section. Check.
Article on suburban cities that support themselves through speed traps. Check.
Article on 7 murders in 12 hours. Check.
Article on what to do with abandoned manufacturing plant. Check.
Article about Anonymous shutting down city's website. Check.

Sad state of affairs in the rust-belt cities. But I think it is important to recognize that we aren't the only region battling these issues. I go to Cleveland several times a year for work and am always very sympathetic to their issues because they hit so close to home.

Probably the goofs that did this are the same ones who periodically spray paint the Botanical Garden walls.... or maybe it was teenage girls this time.

While where still on the topic of Shaw protest, is this subconsciously some type of anti-gentrification protest? Shaw along with the grove has to be at that tipping point by now.

I think they painted it over as it was the quickest thing to do and will restore it properly later. Luckily we have plenty of money here for such things. So frustrating. This pushes people away from the cause, erodes sympathy, less likely to push/vote for change.

A lot of people work hard to keep this park a place that's welcoming to all. Sad to see this beauty defaced again.

who knows.... the message itself from Hunger Games is a great one. I doubt it was done by teenage girls though and my bet is on south city wannabe anarchists who again periodically do this type of stuff... the type of person also most likely to burn a flag during a protest and start fires.

The circus gets crazier with the judge saying that there was no agreement to release the grand jury info if there is no indictment despite McCulloch's clear statements that would happen.

Does it just appear that way or is our region truly run by clowns?

Seeing people on the news with BDU coats and Guy Fawkes masks. I'm stereotyping, but that's not a good sign.

All you can do is laugh as how poorly prepared law enforcement and the governor were. The gov has had to call in more NG to protect the area around the Ferguson PD. Plus you have to laugh at Slay telling everybody that there no need for the NG is get involved because the local law enforcement was somehow better equipped to handle everything this time. Plenty of yolk for all their faces.

It's a catch 22. If the cops aggressively get involved and stop people from burning the town down, then they're criticized for police brutality. If they stay back and protect key infrastructure, then people are wondering where the police are.

Well these acts of violence and riots have decimated Ferguson in every aspect that i don't see how this community can come back. These people literally chose to destroy a community out of ignorance and disrespect for the people who actually call Ferguson home. This was literally a no win situation for the police and national guard because if they would have started shooting back then automatically they are the bad guys.
It's pure thugism at it's best. I've never been a Nixon supporter but i do feel bad for the guy however did he seriously think including area leaders that this was going to be a peaceful protest? The thugs and welfare recipients were chomping at the bits to have a early and speedy start to their black friday shopping! They could careless about MB's family this was prime opportunity for them to try and justify how much of low life's they are
