As a resident, Cortona appears to be struggling. Many apartments are vacant and have been vacant for months.
I see 18 units available with a move-in date of January 31. For 278 units, that's not a terrible vacancy rate.

Wishful thinking but too bad the city can't find a way/dollars to fill the gap so Wise Ave can extend from Hampton all the way to Macklnd w a new S Highland intersection and make a deal Forest Park Community College structured parking in return for some of the community college sea of asphalt for more development.
Part of the reason STLCC is so reluctant to do anything with those parking lots is they are space for lucrative motorcycle and trucking/CDL courses.

That's surprising. One would think leasing would have to be strong at Cortona for the developer to move forward with encore and secure financing.

The former Hardees over by Clayton / Oakland looks to have just been demo'd. Anyone know what's going on over there?

I heard it's for an expansion of the parking for the Mercedes dealer. Not exactly exciting...
